Why not? He would be undefeated. Defeated 11 year streak wlad in Germany easily. Would have beaten wilder, like him or loathe him, twice (3 times really) Then become undisputed with all 4 Beat 2-3 major threats coming up in the division. It would be a better resume than vitalis, bowe, and many many others And retiring undefeated has major clout, like it or lump it
So in best case scenario for fury his top wins would be Wlad Wilder x 2 and a draw (win) Winner of Ruiz/Joshua Possible rematch with above Fight 2-3 upcomers who will be fully prime Hrgovic etc. Add in the like of chisora X 2, hammer, USS And zero defeats. (Best case scenario) That is a world class resume
Wilder and Fury are the top two heavyweights in boxing. If they plan to fight three times, I'm all for it. If Wilder stops him in one in the rematch, though, I think twice will probably be enough. If the Wilder-Ortiz rematch is as good as their first fight, they could fight again, too. People are kind of sleeping on that rematch. The first Wilder-Ortiz fight was arguably more entertaining than Wilder-Fury.
Gotta hand it to wilder, ANY fight he’s in it’s exciting. Always waiting for him to be knocked down, clipped, bomb someone into the 8th dimension etc.
