Pacquiao said he had by far the fastest hands of anybody he was faced. And if you watch the fight you will notice his left jab is unbelievably fast.
I wouldn't take Morales. Raheem's footwork completely befuddled him, imagine what Loma would have done. Most likely Hatton's mauling style would give Loma problems. But Hatton also didn't move his head at all and was pretty easy to hit. I guess if he is able to take Loma's power, he might be able to wear out Loma (kind of like his fight with Zoo).
Very good point. I totally forgot about that fight. So that leaves just Hatton, who would mug, maul, and grapple with pressure.
Do you for see any trilogy in the fight or it would just be a walk in the park and Loma beats all three without breaking a sweat?
If Loma fought Pacquaio maybe. I don't see MAB, JMM, or Morales beating him to be honest. The lower weight guys I think would beat Loma would be Mosley at LW, Floyd at SFW/LW, and Pacquaio at SFW/LW.
I`ll have another look because he wasn`t throwing fast combo`s like Linares and Russell in the early rounds.
Hatton was easy to predict on the way in he always dipped to his left as he came in against Floyd, who worked that out and timeed him with the hook, Loma`s IQ is much higher than Hatton`s wa and he is far better defensively, far more skilled.
I don`t think Hatton could take welter power any better than Loma could, but he did take shots at 140 quite well and we haven`t seen Loma take shots at 140.
Agreed. I don't think this will be an easy fight you dreaming of. If you think Morales, Barrera and Marquez will just lay down like the quitters Loma has been fed with. These are world champions of the upper echelon of boxing. These are no Marriaga, Sosa , Walter types. Marquez has vicious counters people tend to forget how good Marquez is against southpaws. Barrera in his prime was a no joke.But i feel he might not cope well with Loma style. Morales got a chin made of titanium. Loma would probably need a bat to deter him from pressuring him. If Morales can take his shots and press him back watch out! But anyway keep dreaming.
People like to dream I suppose. Take this guy for example. He thinks Loma beats all the ATG Mexicans easy hahaha. Loma hasn't even faced the qty of elite level boxers. His best opponent at 31 years of age is probably Salido and Linares. You can't surely compare them to the 3 hombres. At 31 Morales, Marquez and Barrera haven been in legendary WARS and battle tested. Now Loma sorry to say hasn't fought anyone great. OK. Linares has quick handspeed. So freaking what? he has fragile mandible at any weight. LOMA loss to old Salido who is known to have a glass chin.But he went 12 tough rounds with him. Salido isn't even ATG mexican. Just second tier. Anyway, it's too early to be saying ridiculous things.
