I'm in London and whilst I have free anytime access to my boxing gym with a key, it costs £6 for one-hour of direct training from one of the coaches and that includes pads etc. Sparring is only allowed under supervision so that also falls under the £6 per hour charge. I don't need to pay a monthly membership fee although any youths who box as amateurs need to do that, think it's about £15 per month. Having anytime access is decent though can do bagwork whenever I want and the gym also has very basic and shitty weights equipment and a frame for dips and pull-ups. I have a commercial gym membership as well though so never need to use my boxing gym for that. Interested to hear how prices compared across the UK and abroad.
Based in Liverpool, £25 per month. That's all the classes included (boxing and boxercise, as well as S&C). Has a weights room - not the best but it has all the basic equipment. As far as Im aware you can use the bags/pads etc whenever you want as long as you let the coaches know. A coach lives above the gym so he can supervise any sparring you may want to do. One to one coaching is £10 per hour.
Damn sounds pricey. I can count myself lucky I don't need to pay a base membership fee I guess. Gym I go to is hidden away behind a another business, has no website and very low social media presence so it tends to be quiet. One pro trains out of there. I'm sure if it was more popular they'd charge a membership fee for everyone.
I pay £70 a month but the gym is open 7 days a week from 9am to 9pm. Theres boxing, Thai and MMA classes running all day. Use of all the equipment if you'd rather train alone and there's always sparring available. We've had Shannon Briggs down here working out over the past few months
I pay £1 a session at my gym; works out £5 a week Monday - Friday. Thankfully, we have our rent covered by a Welsh Government grant. The subs go towards petrol money for travel to shows, kit, medicals, equipment etc. Typical old school boxing gym where the emphasis is on bags, pads and sparring. I also pay £30 a month for a DW FItness membership where I do my s&c and fitness work. Our coaches place an impetus on getting fit in our own time and boxing sessions for technique and sparring. Works well as we’ve produced a number of Welsh ABA Champions.
Our gym in north wales is £2 per session for adults and £1 for kids, has boxers and fitness type members doing all same stuff bar sparring. Also offer boot camp fitness class things for £25 per month 4 classes per week just to bring bit of extra money into club, boxers can also attend these sessions for extra fitness work free of charge
I live in the Florida Keys and there’s no Boxing Gyms close to me. I don’t train seriously but I mess around at home. Sometimes I’ll drive up to Miami or Fort Lauderdale and throw a pro or amateur $40-$50 to spar a couple rounds with me. Obviously they go easy on me lol. It’s a great experience
Gym I'm at is specifically a boxing gym, so aside from one set of weights and a treadmil it's just boxing stuff. They go classes pretty much all day (good ones too), some involve sparring and the like if you're up for it at the time. My membership is £45 a month which includes 5 classes and I can drop in and train using the facilities absolutely anytime I like. Given how expensive training can be in London, I think it's pretty good value. There are all manner of different plans
