I'm saying Manny was and is beatable. He is a great fighter but not the greatest boxer. He can be out boxed and has been.

I dont doubt Marquez was on PEDs when he sent manny into la la land, dreaming of sleeping under a banana tree,. Marquez caught him with a perfect shot though. Mannys melon was right there to be hit and Marquez timed it perfectly. Perfect counterpunch. As a matter of fact, Manny was moving into the blow.

Mayweather didnt beat Manny by overpowering him. He beat him by out boxing him. He completely negated Pacs offense through highly skilled defense.

Both Marquez and Mayweather used superlative boxing to take advantage of flaws in Mannys game.

Superlative as in MEMO Heredia and IV Fluids. They both did not beat Manny fairly, they CHEATED.
They both PEDed so hard to their pubic hairs that they abused their body thus gotten way too older than Manny and had to retire now while Manny still has exciting fights than Loma (which is the thread's topic).

You said Many is beatable , well that's boxing. Everyone is beatable. Most of the boxing greats suffered losses. But where is Manny Now vs your idols ?
Bottom line, this is Manny vs Loma's thread so stop pushing in your BFs in this discussion.
Start your own thread about your idols and make the arguments there if you want them to still be relevant.

I have no idols. I call'em as I see them. The roided to the gills Manny is exciting to watch. The non-roided Manny, not so much.

    Manny.

In his prime he was absolutely unmissable and his ringwalk had the epic feel of a great heavyweight. Some of the stuff he did seemed just bizarre at the time.

Loma is a genius, a brilliant operator. I'm not sure Manny would have beaten him. But he doesn't have the same air of intensity and danger.

Well, actually both Pacquiao and Loma are my favorite boxers. I've tried to be fair in every discussion. But I can't tolerate ignorance.

For example, Pacquiao is 147 and he has been fighting in that division for a decade (since Cotto) and currently holding of its world championship belt. The only weight class he fought that is not a welterweight during that time is the junior middleweight division when he defeated Margarito and won his eight weight class title. Never drop down. But just because one sentence that Pacquiao was interested to fight Loma and Loma and his dad played it down, every all of Loma haters jumped in and using it as material to attack Loma by accusing him ducking the legend. For me, this is absurd and absolutely rubbish.

Loma would get absolutely destroyed in the welterweight division.

That being said, Pacquaio would destroy Loma if they fought. That's why they haven't. Or why Loma won't dare to try his luck at 140/147.

Adrien Broner looked dominant and unbeatable at 135 also. But the moment he stepped into welterweight....

If comparing primes then manny deffo as he was such an explosive and exciting fighter who could turn a fight only its head in a second whereas Lomachenko doesn’t have that same ferocity and explosiveness but he’s fun to watch as he’s the only fighter properly executing the matrix style

I agree Lomo is not going to be any good at 147. Even 140 is a huge stretch. He is just too small.

Manny at this point is not going to come down and fight at featherweight or lightweight. He'd kill himself trying to get down to that weight. His calves alone probably weigh 100lbs. It doesnt get easier as you age and it's a rare thing for fighters to go back down in weight as they mature.
