    Chavez Jr is anything, but talented. He is one of the most mediocre guys to have won world titles in the last few years. And even the fights he has won against legitimate competition, particularly when he was back down to middleweight, he only won those fights because he was massively bigger than his opponents. He was a damn near cruiserweight against Andy Lee and Sergio.

    I think there was something there, at least for a few years. You could see him picking up a few new things and actually improving as a fighter. But then he started relying on his size and never went anywhere.
    His main gameplan was to move forward, block punches and then fire back when it was his turn.

    And Lee was outboxing him prior to being stopped. I think Lee would have beaten him soundly in the rematch much like he did Vera. Chavez I think kept his career alive with the 12th round knockdown against Martinez. The parallel between that and his father against Taylor was impossible to overlook. Had Martinez not let bravado get to his head and continued to box he would have pitched a **** out and Chavez Jr. would probably be done.

    I do have to admit though..... I couldn't help but be a bit excited for the Martinez rematch even though it was a totally pointless fight/cash grab and threatening to Maravilla and his legacy. Funny enough Chavez Jr. bitched out. Probably after seeing footage of Martinez in training. He didn't look too far removed from the last few years of his career.

    Chavez jr really **** the bed vs Canelo.
    Non boxing fans bought Canelo-Chavez Jr. & they thought they were going to see a Mexican blood bath.

    I even heard some random teenagers at Target talking mad **** about Chavez Jr.

    This would be horrific for boxing. In no galaxy does Jr. survive a fight with Jacobs. This would be uglier than a straight up knife fight.

    At this point tho would jacobs even gain more exposure as Chavez jrs value is pretty much gone by now surely.
