Unfortunately this fight wouldn't be competitive despite there history,Nate has never done well against fighters like Khabib who will constantly take Nate down and punish him at will,Nate would keep busy in the guard but he would get dominated
Nate may have been a level just below the absolute best ,but he's still had a better career then most with all his losses in WEC/UFC coming against world champions or title challengers,Nates ability to frustrate and get good fighters off there gameplan and to fight his fight,is a credit to him and something few fighters are cable of doing although plenty try to copy him. Along with his original and genuine personality inside the cage, it's why he has been a favourite with the casuals and hardcore fans for so long and 1 of MMAs current biggest draws, putting on exciting fights across 2 divisions winning 15 performance and/or fight of the night bonuses out of 24 UFC fights.
Khabib is a straight up sambo type wrestler and you would think as Fedor found out, that someone with amazing jujitsu could maybe get a submission from the ground? Nate Diaz has the jujitsu thing covered but we taking Khabib here lol.Still one has to have dreams.
He also looked better than ever recently.Over five rounds he's a monster and I'm saying right now that I think he would be competitive against Khabib on account of his cardio. Tell you what?that Alquinta has come out of this with loads of respect since his loss to Khabib.
Considering what Bendo did against Nate with take downs and Nate had zero answer, Khabib would likely do what ever the eff he wanted with Nate
