does not look like a friendly picture and much eye contact- Rocky did not fear anyone and very hard to say based on intangables - ring chemistry creates its own atmosphere

 

Today I learned that every heavyweight in history had his height exaggerated.... except Marciano.

I dunno liston is a quitter ..hes hard to gauge because when the tough got going liston got going ...

 

Marciano gets somewhat underestimated at times due to some perceiving his awkwardness as clumsiness. Marciano knew exactly what he was doing, forcing fighters to punch down to him, cos when they did he had that big right hand waiting on them. However, as brave and game as they come, I fancy sonnys jab alone to cut the face of rocky. Its quite plausible his jab alone wins the fight, depending on how bloodthirsty the ref is. I mean, if its that dude who reffed the ingo v machen fight, the ring would look like an abbottoir

 

Liston was a great fighter with great jab
He could punch but he wasn't Marciano who had power to knock someone in 13th round
Liston would lose in round 9 via KO
Rocky would survive the storm and then outslug Liston
You forgot that Marciano had more power than Williams and much better chin
Williams had poor conditioning and could only punch 3 rounds with full power and he did hurt Liston very bad(he broked Liston nose and ribs)
Bob Satterfield said that Marciano was harder puncher than Williams
I know that Machen last full 12 rounds with Liston with that wrestling clinch
Rocky was much stronger,durable and with better chin than Williams
And he fought inside much better than Machen
Liston was never good inside fighter he was mid-range fighter
Rocky would get some punishment but Liston would be tired and Rocky would knock him with Suzie Q
Sonny never fought ankward and strong puncher like Rocky
I'm only 19 and only train 3 years but I know some things about boxing

Marciano had a lot more power than Williams?
Williams did not break any of Liston's ribs in either fight.
Satterfield never fought Marciano.
Machen did not fight inside with Liston, he fought on the back foot.
Lliston was an excellent inside fighter, whoever bested him there?
Liston fought quite a few strong punchers.

Rocky Marciano is the greatest athlete ever to play sports in this country. A simple fact. Rather than argue just thank him, pay your respects and move on with your day. I pray to Rocky on a regular basis.
