I don’t think Chisora is in that category really. He loses pretty much every single time he steps up. He was battered by Haye, lost a close fight against Whyte who then sparked him in a rematch, Vitali destroyed him, Pulev beat him very easily.

Point still stands. Take away Klitschko and Fury’s ten years as a pro feature loads of really bang average wins.

Assuming he will fight Wilder again, and thinks he'll bet him....he'd then be WBC champ, and the other orgs won't list him in their rankings anyway. So that argument for fighting Wallin doesn't hold.

No sympathy from me, he's in the last few fights of his career he needs to fight the very best.

You say ratings are how you get title shots. Fury will always get title shots if the title shot in question is against Joshua because it'll make money. But I'm not sure how being, for example, 4th in the WBA rankings (where Wallin is now) will make much of a difference if, say, Ruiz wins the Joshua rematch.

Tyson is in something of a who needs him club. He's not got a title and he doesn't really generate much money whilst still obviously being more than capable of beating anyone.

I'm no AJ fan, but it makes me laugh how people slate his resume.

AJ's resume is miles ahead of Tyson's.

    Parker
    Povetkin
    Whyte
    Wlad

That's better than Tyson's. Much better, in fact. Tyson needs to get the finger out, IMHO.

people talking about the rankings,, does fury really need to be made mando to get a shot? his potential fight with AJ fell to pieces cos he wanted a bigger slice of the split not because hes been avoided, been mandatory doesn't strengthen this is anyway ... no way eddie hearn gets beat in the purse bids for a Joshua fight

of course if Ruiz sparks AJ out again it doesn't really matter,, but I cant see Fury accepting a mandatory percentage and im not sure warren & Arum really want to go toe to toe with either Al or Dazn ... whole thing will be a mess and will take a substantial amount of time to sort out

all this going on an Usyk and Pulev are to be made mandatory as well so the belts so they could all get split up

alot depends on the Ruiz vs Joshua rematch but the whole things a bit of a mess

Wilder and AJ both massively f@#ked up not making the fight for the undisputed last summer as i cant see the opportunity coming up again anytime soon

Well he's getting 19m dollars for fighting Wallin so he must generate something as that's crazy money.

It burns you inside doesn't it? I bet you're frantically refreshing Forbes richest sports stars to see where he will rank.

How do you know he's getting $19m for this fight? What's your source?

And have you asked yourself if you really believe that? I mean, why would he be getting that much money? If ten thousand people buy a ticket (they won't) at $500 each, that's just about a quarter of the fee Fury is getting alone if your sums are correct.

It's the equivalent of a mid-table football club deciding they want to buy a new right back, and signing the guy from Newcastle or Bournemouth for £150m.

Pointless fight for many reasons but just a show filler for Vegas and another panto act for Fury.

Hope these fights actually help him that 1or2% more he needed to win the last Wilder fight but somehow think it will be pointless as it won’t help at all as all he will want to do against Wilder is not get hit and drop in the jab to amass a points win. Difference is that Wilder will throw some bombs that will connect at some point but this guy won’t even give Fury a twitch warm up!

Saying that the HW division and boxing would be lost without his presence and good on him to turn his life around. You’ll find thats true about all the top fighters as most have been on the edge of different paths and have now earnt enough to be comfortable for a long long time so don’t want to knock the guy for earning easy money.

Still think AJ will have a massive say on the whole division in 2020 as can see him winning the rematch in style.

Do you actually have any evidence at all that Fury is earning that much?

It's not that I care about what he earns. More that I wonder why the likes of you seem to believe it. This year has clearly been another one which has largely been a total waste of time for his career and legacy. If he really is earning these enormous paydays fair enough, but much like his mental illness, I don't really buy it. But feel free to prove me wrong.
