Canelo won't last long against Kovalev's destructive power. Sergei will KTFO him in round 5. GGG is strong but couldn't tear him down, because he did have poor defence. He spent most of his time eating Canelo's power shots, thus couldn't destroy him.

It was a classy act from Kovalev that he took the most competitive fight only 2 months after than the dangerous Yarde match. Many so-called "champs" would fight a cherry-picked opponent and then lay low for at least 7 months. Real champ spirit from Kovalev, fearless, industrious and brave.

It will be Kovalev vs GGG next, and I'm sure Kovalev will get that one too.

lmao Canelo fans are so deluded

I just re-watched Golovkin-Canelo II. Golovkin won CLEANLY. He won most of the exchanges in the fight. Canelo could never beat Golovkin, thats why he ducked the 3rd fight.

Kov's ''destructive power'' isn't as destructive as it was when he was in his prime

He didn't really hurt or drop Yarde at any point in the fight prior to the finishing punch and that was more due to Yarde being worn down gradually and fatigued

He didn't drop or really hurt Alvarez in either of their fights

He didn't drop or really hurt Mikhalkin before the ringside doctor waved it off

He didn't drop Ward in the rematch whereas in their first encounter he wobbled him down to his soul with a jab and dropped him hard on his hands and knees in a praying position. In fact, he hit him so hard Dre thought it was the first time he'd been down in his career lol

The Shabranskyy fight is the only one in recent years where he looked close to being as destructive as he did back during his prime

He still hits hard and maybe his power might still prove to be too much for the ginger Mexican. However, none of the aforementioned fighter's backs don't see the canvas against a prime Kov and nor would they have lasted the distance against him or as long as they did either.

Let me guess. Your argument is that kovalev has better defense than gg?

    kovalev is ****ed then.

Kovalev's defense has ALWAYS, even in his prime, been sloppy, even in the first rounds when the gastank is full. ALWAYS.

I don't see that in his fights. Kovalev hits like a mule that's why he is called "Krusher".

Yarde was hurt and he was exhausted by Kovalev's shots, not because he was fatigued naturally.

Canelo's world will turn upside down as Kovalev lands his shots on him.

I'm not saying he doesn't hit hard anymore or that he still doesn't possess the power to drop Clenelo on his face. I'm saying that his power has clearly declined and that Yarde, Alvarez, Mikhalkin all get dropped, hurt badly numerous times and then Krushed by prime Kov aka Krusher in brutal fashion and don't see the second half of the fight and neither would Clenelo if he dared step in there against a prime Kov as well. Nobody wants to see Kov spark ginger out cold more than me.

Yep, but it’s a really good jab and he has a powerful right backing it up. Kov’s gas tank is questionable and I envision cinnamon fighting defensively for the first half of the fight. All Canelo has to do is finish on his feet to get his arm raised. He’s smart enough and has a good enough chin to avoid a KO. I could easily see another questionable decision going to Clenelo. His fans will eat it up like he eats up those huge Clen-laced steaks.

If he has a guy who is stationary in front of him, he tees off in combination to the body and head. Which isn't necessarily an inside game, it's definitely Not a Ward like inside game. And the inside game he does have all but disappears when he's in with a guy with a strong jab.
