Kovalev fought on 24 August, even though he won almost all rounds, he didn't have an easy fight against Yarde, he was in trouble in the 8th round. Krusher only had 3 weeks to rest (!) after that bout, had to start training on 10 September to prepare against Canelo Alvarez because they will fight on 2 November. Kovalev is also 36 years old which doesn't make it easier for him to regenerate after a physically demanding fight.

Now it is painfully obvious that GBP's plan is to fight a physically broken Kovalev, that's their only chance to win. It seems to be a good plan, there is a reason why Alvarez is such a huge favorite even though he is much smaller. Klimas allegedly didn't want to take the fight because of the timing, Duva did because GBP is paying a lot of money to Kovalev plus they give 2 fights to the Russian on DAZN even if he loses, that's the price of stacking the deck against him.

I think so. think about it like this: He doesn't need to lose a bunch of weight, and get his conditioning up, that usually takes a huge chunk of the camp like the first 3-4 weeks.... Kovalev doesn't need to do that... he can go straight to creating a gameplan with Buddy, start getting some sparring partners, etc.... $15 million would motivate the hell out of me... Expect to see the beast come out in Kovalev for this.

of course he does, its a winter fight, he just fought in summer.

Whats painfully obvious is that the hardliners are rolling out excuses early, petrified as to the shame they will face if their man loses to an extra from The Hobbit movie.

So November is in the winter now? No wonder you flunked out of university, if you are so dumb.

depends where you live. We get scandi temperatures up northeast so winter comes early. down here its soft though.

damn no wonder you are so globally unaware if you write off the rest of the world as being the same as at your moms house.

I think yes. He looks quite fresh (even if old & fresh—so what, he won't get younger anyway) and enthusiastic.

Not at his age, not at this stage of his career and not after taking some of those heavy shots off of Yarde. The residual damage left over from previous battles is very under looked in boxing. Kovaelev needs at least 6 months and I’m sure Team Canelo suspect the same.

Trying to move the goal posts so you would look less idiotic? Too bad it doesn't work, because the seasons are defined in absolute terms not relative terms according to Calendar-based reckoning. You live in the Northern Hemisphere in temperate climate, that means November is considered Autumn even if it can get cold where you live. November can only be considered part of winter above the Arctic circle. You have made two comments in this thread so far, and neither of them made any sense whatsoever, you are just keep embarrassing yourself as usual.

true in absolute terms, but good luck in changing the Scandinavian weather we get.
Its a big world out there, it doesnt just change to winter when you cross 1cm over a certain point. ...except in a textbook.

Thats said, it was clearly a summer fight followed by a late autumn fight where it takes place. 2 months is long enough stop complaining, you didnt hear Cansmello complaining going up to SMW in about the same time.

He might be enthusiastic right now, but even his former coach, Tursunpulatov said that Kovalev won't have enough time to regenerate and prepare for Alvarez.

Not really but I still think he comes through in this one and rises to the occasion.

Tursunpulatov said that Kovalev's too old and should retire after the loss to Eleider Alvarez...

there is a real danger than Kovalev might mortally hurt Canman.
