Canelo is going to get hurt. Real bad and I mean that.

It will be some 170lb catch weight bs with a rehydration clause to boot. So that old and beat up Kovalev can be maimed first then the biggest queen in boxing can become a 4 weight "champion".

If it's a catchweight, Canelo deserves no credit at all, but if he fights Kov with no bull**** catchweight or rehydration clause, that's honestly one of the best wins I will ever witness and he deserves so much damn credit.

I believe this will be at 175 with a 10lb rehydration clause, the same clause Canelo imposed on his last two opponents. Kovalev fight night weight over the years has been between 181 and 189 so this would be more than acceptable.

Canelo is NOT losing any decision with his promoter and the judges the commish selects. That's why he's a favorite.

I would be more inclined to give Canelo credit if he was to step up in weight to fight a top fighter in his prime. Take David Benavidez. One could argue Benavidez is not even in his prime given his age but that would be a fight that would prove to me that Canelo is truly a fighter who is willing to fight the best. Right now all Canelo is doing is cherrypicking once top fighters who are well past their prime. It gets the big headlines and generates interest among the casuals, which translates to big paydays. From a purely business/money angle it works but for those of us who understand boxing we know exactly what is going on here. Many of us know that Kovalev has appeared very vulnerable in his last several fights. Even in his last fight that he won by KO he could have easily been stopped earlier, and appeared on the brink several times. For those of us who know how Canelo operates this is but one more example of what he is all about.

Then Mayweather deserves no credit for beating Canelo.

Do you know anything about boxing or fitness in general? Canelo was young and able to make the weight with ease. Kovalev is 36, having OBVIOUS stamina issues in his last couple fights. If Kovalev was a 23 year old that needed to come down 2 pounds, it wouldn't be a big deal at all, also plus there was no rehydration clause for Canele/Mayweather, and Canelo's fight against Trout he weighed in at 153. So he went down 1 pound.

Exceptional. Sitting in my porch, finishing my morning tea here in South Bay L.A. county, enjoying a cool morning while jumping from BN24 and other news sites, getting a kick out of Canelo haters going mad about the Kovalev fight.

    Cheers!
