You can but at least it allowed us to see that Campbell was and could hold his own at true world level, something I think we need to see Haney in prior to a Loma fight.

 

You want to crown then crown his ass. But how about winning a title first.

 

Many Olympians could've gotten a title shot coming out of the Olympics, but they chose to perfect their craft because they were young. Loma was an older amateur and got his title shot. It isn't because of his skin color. It's the boxing organization who chose to rank him that high. I don't blame Loma.

What disturbs me is whenever people say that him winning a title in his 3rd pro fight is the greatest thing since sliced bread. That bothers me because that argument isn't a real argument. It's a fact and that can't be used in ANY argument when comparing him to the greats of this sport. You can't use that fact and then give him excuses for losing to Salido. I love Loma and loved how he beat Campbell, but telling me that Haney needs to do this an do that to get a shot at Loma and he's the #1 ranked WBC challenger for the vacant WBC title is mind boggling. Some are just mad that he called out Loma. It's like you're irritated that Haney even said Loma's name.

Loma didn't do anything to deserve a title shot either. He struggled and lost and learned from it. Haney could do the same. But he has to do this and that for you.

 

It’s not as you are obviously dense, Haney could do with a fight against a top 10 guy to see how he handles the step up prior to Loma.

I think what people find irritating is that Loma is not a bonafide 135 pounder. He stepped up because he probably heard the constant talk of him not being a multi-weight champion like Pac and others. As discussed previously, the big difference is Loma was a grown man when he turned pro, making it impossible for him to win titles in multiple weight divisions. This holds true for most fighters who turn pro later in life.

Haney, on the other hand, is a much bigger guy, having trouble even making 135. He would have a significant size advantage over Loma. But let's face it, those people who are calling for Loma to fight Haney and other much bigger guys, like Mikey, just want to see him beaten. It's the same cast of characters who want GGG to fight bigger guys.

 

But he’d already faced and beaten a former champion in Perez and faced Linares....that’s competing at world level, actual world level....not make believe “eye test” world level.

Why as a fan of Haney would you want him to go straight into a fight with Loma without fighting a true top 10 fighter? What does this achieve for him?

 

My God you love Loma that much? Whether you think that Haney hasn't beaten anyone he's ranked #1 in the WBC and e called out Loma. He beat who he was suppose to beat period. What part don't you get!!??
