What horsecrap scorecards. Wallin boxed superbly tonight. Just ran out of gas. He opened up and almost dropped Fury in the 12th. I had Fury winning by a round, but that was a very close fight. Fury exposed tonight, Wallin deserves a rematch. Dillian Whyte would smoke Fury on a saturday and send Wilder to Disneyland on a tuesday.
Even with his peds, Whyte won't stand much of a chance against either of them. But it's also obvious Fury didn't take this one seriously.
Whyte destroys both of them. Look at what Wallin and old "no legs" Ortiz did to Wilder and Fury. Hrgovic would decapitate these pair of clowns tomorrow let alone Whyte and the rest of the hardened contenders. Fury - Wilder 2 is a desperation fight. They both know they cant beat the best in the division. Wallin just wrote the book on how to beat Fury tonight.
Nah he pretty clearly lost deapite the cut making the fight entertaining and giving him a real chance. If he beats some real contenders after this a rematch down the line would not be awful
Wallin will get some decent matchups off the back of that performance. He showed fighting heart in there. He needs to work hard on his stamina, because he was running on fumes from the 7th onwards. Fury wont give him a rematch, no chance. He will stay out for 6 months+ and then face Wilder in the rematch around April-June next year. The unknown is when will Wilder face Ortiz in the rematch, as the date for that one is slipping away from this year. This then increases the chance of Fury needing a stay busy fight
Putting up a valiant effort doesn't warrant a rematch especially when there's little financial incentive. There's no controversy other than among a few known Fury detractors here. Competitive but clear Fury win.
As far as I'm concerned he should have been DQed immediately upon raking Fury's cut directly in front of Tony Weeks' face. Cheating scumbag.
Breazeale or Washington would be good fights. I think rushing back in with an elite name after such a rough fight would be a mistake.
