Please do not compare Ruiz to Wallin, Wallin was a complete unknown and had never even been to world level.
Ruiz had already fought for a world title and narrowly lost. He was already world level top 15. Wallin had only fought Hungarian doormen and Spanish waiters in comparison. The Level between the two as potential opponents was huge. It was only in retrospect that Wallin is a lot better than we could have predicted based on the low standard he was fighting at.
I don't want to get into an English Literature debate with you, but by saying 'people did the same to Ruiz', that is a direct comparison.
Lets not do the same rubbish people did with AJ, Fury clearly didn't have his eye ob this fight and it nearly cost him,m. For me he still won but didnt look great but lets not write him off in the same way we shoukd write AJ off yet.
Yes it's a direct comparison of PEOPLE'S REACTIONS to Wallin and Ruiz as an opponent - not a direct comparison between Ruiz and Wallin... You're talking to me as if I'm new to boxing, I knew exactly what Ruiz was about before the AJ fight and argued against people who wrote him off in the thread here that announced the fight. I'll dumb down my posts in the future so you can understand. Read the post slowly next time, several times if it helps.
Just read on Twitter that Big John Fury has gone on a rant on BT Sports, calling for Ben Davison to be sacked and Fury scrap the lot of his team. Probably wants Tyson to join up with Peter again.
Insulting my intelligence does nothing to further your point or discredit mine and probably says a little bit more about your intelligence than mine.
I'm not insulting your intelligence, I'm pointing out to you that you completely misinterpreted my initial post. There's nothing wrong with that, a lot of people do it on this forum.
I said at the end of the fight that Davison was absolutely terrible in that corner. Credit where it’s due, he’s got Fury in fantastic shape but it’s time to step a side and let a proper trainer take over. Maybe he can be a fitness coach / manager going forward.
They were terrible cuts, Tyson did well just to grind through that and get the win. Time will tell how good or bad Wallin really is, without the cuts it would have been a completely different fight, although even prior to the cuts he looked lackluster. Ben Davison did not cover himself with glory tonight either and you could sense his relief when it got to the closing rounds. I hope they allow Tyson to take the time out to let the cuts heal properly and reschedule the Wilder fight. Although, realistically I cannot see that happening as the only way the promoters and TV companies recoup any of their investment in Fury is through the Wilder fight. They must be incurring huge losses staging these interim bouts.
It's probably fuelled by bias for his brother. It's understandable that John would want his family back close together again. They were flawless working together out in Germany against Klitschko and he probably desires that again.
