Vitali's fight vs Lewis gets stopped but Fury allowed to continue?

Vitali's cut was worse due to where it was. However Furys cut is probably the worst I've seen since and I've seen plenty of fights stopped from lesser cuts than Tysons tonight.

 

Vitali's (double) cut was in a much worse location than Fury's.

 

Yeah vitali had a cut right around his eye...if hed have went on the rest of.the way he very easily coulda had his eye ripped out of socket...that was a horrible cut

 

Vitali was taking big shots from Lewis.

Fury was taking very little against WALLIN and was in control.

 

Agree somewhat. But I think Vitali started fading in the last 2 rounds, even though Lewis was exhausted himself, but he was putting together some huge combos. Fury looked like he was getting into the groove of the fight towards the 5th round and afterwards.... except the 12th round which Wallin won.

 

That cut was clearly affecting Vitali's vision against a much more dangerous opponent. Lewis could probably put a guy in a coma with a few flush shots whereas Wallin not so much.

 

That one badou jack had was pretty nasty

 

That s Correct . No way could vit have carried on with out some serious damage being done to that eye.

 

I'll guarantee if Wallin had that cut and was ahead it'd have been stopped

If you want to see a really dodgy stoppage look at vitalis cut win over charr. Looked like a paper cut

It was definitely a bad enough cut that no one would have been blamed had they decided to stop it, but it wasn't like Fury was taking undue punishment as a result. Vitali didn't just have one cut but multiple in a circular pattern around his eye socket, and was getting hit by big shots and looking hurt and desperate. Had the fight continued Lennox would have landed something huge on him and likely laid him out for the count; that was the momentum of the fight, and probably a big factor in why the fight was stopped when it was.

 

Wallin is a feather-fisted bum, the ref knew there wasn't any physical danger to Fury.
