To last that long and remain at the top of his game he needs to clean up 135 and then drop back down.

Unify at 135 and drop back down in weight.

Theres a load of good fights to be had at 130. TR have a bunch of guys in the 126-130 range.

Valdez, Herring, Berchelt, Frampton, Stevenson, Warrington are all easy to make fights.

4-5 years more, not bad. Looks like early retirement plan didn’t work out.

I’m glad we’ll be seeing more of him but he relies on speed and reflexes too much to last very long in this sport. Will be interesting to see how he adapts.

**** that. Stay at 135. He will never have to worry about making weight again. Will help with longevity.
And there are some quality prospects coming up at 135 as well(at least in star potential): Ryan Garcia, Teofimo Lopez and Devin Haney will be big fights.
Then there are Commey(who I think will beat Lopez), Linares and Davis.

The only threats at 130 are Berchelt, if he gets past Sosa(who is quite the live dog), and Emo Cruz. I would be astonished if Cruz suddenly finds his balls. Dude ducked Rigo, doubtful he would step in there with someone who toyed with the Cuban.

Because he's too small to move up. The only way is back... to his natural weights...

He didnt have to worry about making weight at 130.
In fact, it wasnt like he was missing weight at 126 either.

He'll probably have already beaten Lopez to become undisputed.

Haney sint going to be at 135 for more than 1-2 more fights. Hes huge at the weight and will settle at WW eventually.

    Also....Cruz?

There's no way he has guts to go 147 and 140 is not that good 130 is better

After Commey/Lopez, the only real fight left for Loma at lightweight is Haney. Garcia is nowhere near ready for prime time, and I suspect that a fight with Tank never materializes.

Meanwhile, at super feather, he has Berchelt, Warrington (whom I suspect will move up eventually), Stevenson, and perhaps even a rematch with GRJ, should he snag another belt.

It isn't a function of "guts." Lomachenko and his team understand that his frame is simply not compatible with any weight class above 135lbs. Why should he move up in weight, where he is unlikely to be competitive against elite level opponents, simply to gratify people who would like nothing better than to watch him lose anyway? His promotional team should be fired for malpractice if they permitted that.

Loma only has possibly maximum three more fights in 135 : the winner of Commey/Lopez, Tank Davis and Devin Haney. From those two, only the fight with Davis that I find it difficult to happen since I doubt Floyd will ever let his protege to face the maestro.

There are several fights can be made in 130. However, except for Berchelt, none of them is able to last more than 8 rounds against Loma.
