But lets be realistic How many people really believe Canelo EVER beat GGG?? I'd have thought if Canelo was half the fighter youre claiming he is he'd have given GGG a fair fight to start with. He was juiced to the gills first fight, he lost then popped dirty cancelling the second. When they met again finally the judges robbed GGG AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! So is he really champion?? Not in my book Then he fights Feilding for that paper 168 title ?? C'mon man get real Now he's going for Kov thinking he's shot. I hope he's mistaken but to make sure they'll be Either CW demands or rehydration limits PLUS its in Vegas!! We ALL know what that means Canelo stands at final bell ? He "wins" regardless I'm sorry man but Canelo had the chance to prove how good he was, but instead chose to let Oscar make him out to be a coward handing back the WBC belt, then popping dirty twice for Clenbutrol plus he knows in his heart he didnt LEGITIMALLY ever beat GGG Canelo is a good fighter & may well have reached the ATG position you think he has but he will never get that recognition from the public because of all the above actions. That is mky honest opinion
Canelo will always be tainted by a history of ped abuse and bribed judges. The real sad thing is we will never know what he himself is capable of. He’s a manufactured champion with too much invested in him to be allowed to be just himself or lose.
Good post. What I will give Canelo, is that he comes in at 100% every time. Be it Rocky "lamo" Fielding or Kovalev. He's 100% a professional.
But is he a Cheating 100% professional??? He's NEVER gone in the ring in Vegas without knowing he;s got every advantage both legal & illegal behind him. If he stood up at the final bell he couldnt lose
It's a title I recognise as much as the WBC silver or any other bogus belt that can be used to justify moving up the rankings or selling a fight nooone cares about.
The immediate implication would be a little bespectacled Canelo nuthugger is asleep dreaming a nice dream, and we are watching his dream. But like the alternative ending to Harry Potter saga where Harry is still asleep dreaming under the stairs at the Dursleys, he is in for a rude awakening.
I could see him defending at 168 at some point I think 175 is a stretch too far, good call on Armstrong I knew someone had to have done it before
I'm not sure if your trying to be rude or just a hater, as a Canelo fan and a Kovalev fan I think the Krusher should take it its weight classes for a reason but Canelo winning and holding belts at 60,68, & 75 at once would pretty much solidify him as an ATG front what I see
That's about how I see this, before the ward fights you'd have never seen Canelo wanting Kovalev. I suspect they think Krusher is shot, and honestly, he probably is but as you say this cherry pick could go wrong
I wouldn't go that far, there a big difference between a regional belt and a regular title. Now do I respect someone holding the regular WBA like I would the Super Champ who is the actual Champ in my eyes no. Rocky fielding was a legit top 10 SMW and a title holder was he one of the 4 actual Champs no which is why I have always made that distinction. Kovalev and GGG are legit Champions Fielding is merely a title holder Personally I feel like it's too many titles anyway you can't be the WBC Champ for example, yet have another fighter ranked ahead of you that is considered the actual Champ doesn't make sense but ♂️ like Canelo and Charlo at 160
We all know who the actual champ is when someone whole the 'regular' title and someone else holds the actual title. I have no respect for these fake titles and value regional titles for more. I'd rather be a European champ than fake world titlist.
You should realize it's easier to cherry pick title shots when: a) you are a cash cow and can essentially pick any fight you want in the divisions b) You are going after the easiest belts to win in the division (Fielding at 168, Kov at 175) c) There's 4-5 belts to choose from to begin with Being an ATG isn't just about belts being held, it's all on who yuo beat and when you beat them.
