Dude Kovalev is a Career LHW arguably beat whom some ppl considered P4P best in the 1st Ward fight only to be shafted, amazing all the talk was that Kovalev won the first fight with Ward but now to suit an argument it's Kovalev is 4-3 and damaged goods. Even still Canelo is a former JMW who has had a total of 6 fights above 154/5. Charlo vs Kovalev isn't a cherry pick for Charlo neither is Andreade or GGG or any fighter you can name at 160 or 154 yet Canelo vs Kivalev is a cherry pick.

We can debate rounds out I had Canelo winning 8-4 in the rematch and a draw in their first fight regardless of who I route for I take bias out of scoring fights we can breakdown round by round if you like.
Personally I felt GGG got worn down or maybe just beaten up in the second fight alot of rounds especially at the end GGG would start very strong in the first minute but would then allow Canelo to get back into the round in the second minute and eventually close out the round as a Canelo round

only 1 fighter in boxing history has ever held titles in 3-divisions at once and that was armstrong in the 30's almost 100 years ago if you don't think this is a historical accomplishment ranking up there with some of the best ever in boxing you're crazy.

Canelo looks and weighs like a natural SMW anyways or even LHW. And he will be beating a shot Kovalev who was good enough to beat a very poor yarde.

I expect him to beat kovalev tbh.

I want to see him do something unreliastic against a true p4p opponent in their prime. Canelo vs Usyk. Kovalev is a great win but it’s not out of this world, in fact it’s expected.

i think the 168 claim is paper and you do.

Personally I would rarely class anyone active as an ATG so I say we shall see.

Besides soon 3G will knock any ATG out of Canelo so its all academic.

the reg title at least means you are a valid contender, it couts that much.

Such that Povetkin was a valid contender when he fought Wlad.

Such that 3G was a valid contender before his KO of Danny Geale.

And now Canelo is a valid contender for the SMW title.

ok you're acknowledging that Kovalev was robbed against Ward in the first fight (which is rightfully the opinion of the majority) to beef up his significance for Canelo, who is fighting an older Version. But BOTH decisions against (an older) GGG were correct according to you, while the public had both fights for GGG. yeah sure, no agenda here ;)

i thin you can say Kov was robbed of a draw.. robbed of a win is a bit much. He was a fraction ahead at most. well i had him just ahead.

3G was awarded a draw when he was shade ahead, that was not a robbery.

this fight is meaningless as Canelo cheats. Kovalev would have to knock him out to get a draw. F Canelo.

Sorry CJ but exactly what you wrote can be aimed at Pacquiao. The one time he couldn't do that against the bigger cash cow Floyd, he looked pathetic

At least Clenelo isn't draining his opponent to starvation and hasn't waited til Kovalev looks Completely shot. That's far more than Manny and Roach ever did with a dangerous bigger opponent

Not meaning to have a go at you but this is blatant double standards

big achievement. Very big. Not as big as what Pac did but still amazing acheivement. If he had beat someone good at SMW and fought Kovalev in his prime that would be next level, but its still big. He dosent need to be taking the risks he is taking, shows he cares about legacy, respect to him.
