Two Ton Tony up and running against the smallest heavyweight champion. Is Burns in for a beating or can he defeat his colorful challenger?
And its in Burns Era and 20 rounds?

I'll pick Burns by UD, his boxing skills are easily superior and the crouch Galento employs wouldn't work so well against someone shorter than him. Burns has the chin to neutralize a lucky punch.

It's a lot of weight to concede but Tommy was a level above Galento imo.

It would be a fair bit of weight advantage. But I see Tommy being more skilled and edging Tony out. The rough tactic s by Galento wouldn't faze him, and the Era s refs would probably allow dubious "" punches ", so it could turn a fair bit foul filled!
    I'll say Burns by decision.

If Burns could outbox Hart, then it is probably reasonable to think that he could do the same to Galento.

Yeah, Burns fared well against bigger rough and tough guys. Galento was powerful, but Burns had very good chin. Clear decision for Tommy.

    I like this match up.

I'm picking Two Ton tony, who's much bigger and hit harder. Burns wasn't really a shut you down type of boxer who hated and stayed away. We would see action, possibly with each guy being rocked at least once.

Two Ton via TKO in eight.
