Canelo had a hard enough time with GGG's yab, which is shorter and not as precise as kovalev's yab. To land those body blows he has to get inside on kovalev, which means trying to get through that powerful yab. He might get caught with it coming in and be forced to stay on the outside, and you don't want to be there against kovalev.

Canelo feels that he's so much faster than kovalev that it won't be a problem. He thinks he will slip and counter his jab he will have to get inside smother kovalevs work and go to the body all night long. He will have to make it an inside fight to win.
Might give him trouble for a couple rounds but we all know the second Canelo lands a body shot kovalev will fold like a cheap suit then cry about ' low blows'
If Canelo is able to nullify Kov's jab early, It's over. I believe that's the key. If Kov is successful with his jab or not will determine the winner. I am leaning towards Kov in this one. Canelo really didn't stop G's jab and Kov has a damn good one. It will be very interesting.
He's smaller and faster, Kova is bigger and slower, he will try get inside using moment defence and counter Kova in the inside with vicious body and head attack, if Kova can't get Canelo on a distance I wouldn't be surprised if he gets stopped late since he has a softer body and chin than ggg.
If the jab is slow, you slip it and throw a hard counter. In my opinion this will be a fight about speed. Is Canelo fast enough to make up the distance when Kovalev throws.
