He is with Sauerland but has a co-promotional deal with Eddie Hearn. Therefore he will get the big fights so long as he keeps on winning.

You can already see he is the real deal and will become champion one day

I like the idea of placing him on the undercard of Joshua vs Ruiz. He needs to gain more fame.

Hrgovic won’t fight aj, wilder, Ruiz or fury.

He’s gonna be saved as the next gen

I just really hope the guy comes up with a more original nickname... If he moves to Mexico/helps or has a Spanish wife I'm all for it.
I just don't like corny gimmicks

He's at least 2-3 years away, meaning that the current crop will all be in their mid to late 30s. I suppose Joshua or Fury would still be in range, but Wilder will be edging toward 40 by then. I mean, maybe, but if Hrgovich is the real deal then he'll probably only fight one from that group, win a title and compete against the next group.

I think he will be ready in 2020! He’s on the rise. They are all on the decline.

I too hate corny gimmicks. But you are setting quite the standard there. Can non-native English speakers have English nicknames? Or must their nickname be in the language of their native tongue?

Haha, fair enough. I don't know why it just always urks me when fighters try to fight in the Us but try hard to gain Mexican fans but don't really seem to care much about Mexico. Maybe I'm wrong, that dude Jason Quigley always ruffled my feathers doing it for some reason. He was born in Ireland & moved to America not Mexico. Just comes off as a pandering for popularity/being a poser.
It makes me think he will never be a World Champion because he's not original enough

World Boxing Super Series: Heavyweights Eyed For 2020

Heavyweight is one of four division under consideration for series three of the eight-man knockout event, which is likely to begin in February.

Under consideration for the next series is heavyweight, middleweight, super-flyweight and one women’s division. A change to the scheduling will see the series run in one calendar year, with the first round likely taking place in February and the finals in November or December.

A heavyweight series would be popular, although it would not feature any of Deontay Wilder, Andy Ruiz Jr, Tyson Fury or Anthony Joshua.

But Kalle Sauerland, the WBSS promoter, is certain there will be plenty of interest and suggested Dillian Whyte, Daniel Dubois, Filip Hrgovic, Agit Kabayel and the winner of the Joseph Parker-Chisora fight as possible entrants.

“You would probably look at Dillian Whyte, Dereck, some of the young guys, Dubois, Hrgovic, Kabayel, there are loads,” Sauerland said. “There are about 12-13 names to get down to eight, maybe even do a couple of qualifiers.

“We would definitely be able to pay them more than what they are earning now. It is about the money.”

Alright, you convinced me. I can certainly get on board with that. I know it is a different fighter, just a similar beginning to his surname, but can we also throw some hate on Scott Quigg for this ring entrance? Never forget.

I have to see the guy in the ring with live bodies before having an opinion on him. I know he has size and a good amateur pedigree.

Boxing history is littered with good amateurs who were not good pros. I'm not say he will be one of them. I'm saying he hasn't done enough yet in the pros for me to know.

He needs more rounds against different types of fighters to develop as a pro.

The level of his competition should gradually be stepped up. He should not be thrown to the wolves (Wilder) but developed over time into the best fighter he can be.

Everybody has match ups that don't suit them.

How do we know Hrgovic is a top guy ? Because he's the best bet stylistically to defeat Wilder comfortably and that's a top 3 guy. Someone's even posted a brief sparring clip.on here.

Hrgovic could fight for a title right now , he'll probably creep up on one 2021. Should he fight AJ it would be a a very competitive war.

I'd probably rank Hrgovic number 4 head to head .

Joyce is a 50/ 50 with him , he's been to sporadic with different trainers , location, etc....That's the fight I would want to see in a real 12 rounder.

As it stands Hrgovic will be Joshuas biggest threat over at Dazn / Match room . He poses things that Usyk won't get away with in an AJ fight.

I'm not sold on Usyk at heavy. Does he have the power to hurt people and keep opponents off him. Hes a great boxer but that lack off power could be a real issue at heavyweight.

The Croatian guys seems to have the size, power and skills to be a good heavyweight. But...hes not learning much knocking out no hoppers in 1 or 2 rounds. His flaws will not be exposed fighting such opposition.
