Every fighter has fought a stinker or two and their fans never blamed the fighter that they liked for being a part of the so called bore fest, so none of them to me. I watch all fights and all replays.
I think there was a point in the fight, where the commentators pointed out entertainers walking out. I think they said Tiger Woods & Charles Barkley? LOL! Ruiz vs Oquendo. So many clinches, the commentators started talking about stuff that had nothing to do with the fight. When the stoppage came, they almost didn't notice it.
Impossabreww Actually even a Joe Calzaghe fight sent me to sleep. Bernard Hopkins was that damn boring he could even stink out a fight with Joe Calzaghe
Anyone remember which fight it was that Larry Merchant said "Wake me up if a fight breaks out" LMAO! Hopkins Hakkar?
Hardly....I can think of exactly one 'boring' Floyd fight, and somebody on here mentioned it, the Baldomir fight.. Floyd had a brilliantly unique style, which I'm sorry you could not appreciate, but I enjoyed very much watching him. When you combine his style with the fact that every one of his fights was a huge event with about 90% of the 'fans' praying for him to get KOd, it made for some very tense moments. Wlad on the other hand was one of the largest and most muscular champions in history. He certainly looked the part of the Terminator, but his style chess playing style never went along with the persona the media tried drum up or the accolades all the fan boys heaped upon him. Vlad should have bullied and steam rolled opponents with all of his physical advantages, but was happy instead to jab and peck his to lackluster wins the majority of his career. I will say that Haye debacle was more Hayes fault for fighting like he had a hurt toe than it was Wlads, for just fighting the way he always does, but for all the hype and fanfare it perfectly encapsulates the lackluster career of Wlad Klitschko
