I agree with the Tua and Joshua assessment being quite probable. And since Barry has worked with Tua and against Joshua I guess he’s most qualified for that one pick. The rest are really housewife kind of picks from the top of his head.

Though I disagree Holyfield won either of the Lewis fights,Barry knows Evander pretty well, having fought him.

Isn't this the former mananger of David Tua who ripped him off in the neighborhood of $20 million dollars, which led Tua being tied up in court and costing him a second title shot?

I'm unaware of this, could you provide us with some details please ? Tua's total career earnings up to and including the Cameron fight are $ 20million , $5M of which came from the Lewis fight.
"Those court documents show Tua earned about $20 million in his career, roughly $5 million of which came from his losing bout against Englishman Lennox Lewis."
Where did he amass another$20 million from?

I also don’t know the full details. However, as time goes on, I have come to realise a lot of these disputes seem to be more of the fighter and his family being at fault than the actual management. Yes there are exceptions but usually when all of the facts are presented the management is often legit or within its rights. The support of any fighter is extremely expensive and risky in the beginning. Basically a gamble. There is very little if any returns for the management unless the kid really makes it...and when they do a lot of fighters want to dump the guy responsible for getting him that far. When you look at it this seems to be the most common point where disputes start. coincidence? When you look at it, There are not many examples of a management team who put less in than they got back with every fighter they ever worked with. But it is fashionable to think that.

I agree with him except that Fury beats Holyfield.

I have some very strange H2H opinions so I'm in no place to judge. I think that Pryor is all sorts of wrong for Duran and Chavez. I think Hopkins beats both King Carlos Monzon and Marvelous Marvin Hagler but loses to Tommy Hearns and Mike McCallum.
I feel that Gassiev and Breidis would both KO Jirov and give an excellent account of themselves against Holyfield.

Nothing wrong with those opinion s, if fact that's how it goes a lot of the time in Boxing, one fighter does better than expected against certain fighter s yet loses to one's he's likely to beat .. If you get my drift.

Why would someone like Joseph Parker who like Tua is a proud New Zealander with Samoan heritage and who idolised Tua growing up since both of them were from the same area in NZ, employ Barry as his career long trainer if this was true?

Sorry that isn't a primary source.and I'd be careful libelling Barry without proof.
Barry was Tua's trainer and manager from1992 until 2003 .Then Tua retired for 2 years coming back under a new trainer and management.
If Barry was ripping Tua off ,it took the Samoan a long time to realise it, 11 years in fact!

Tua and Barry fell out over a land deal, both claiming ownership of it.
