    I don't accept Charles was an ATG heavyweight.Until very recently he was considered a fairly ordinary heavyweight champ .

    Not the easiest being sandwiched between Louis and Marciano.

    The 1998 Ring Magazine had him at 11, above Mike Tyson, Jim Jeffries and Gene Tunney

    Holmes would win, but I'm sure he'd respect Rocky's abilities after the fight.

    Not only was Holmes long and quick, he had some power. Holmes toughness was under rated, perhaps even better than Ali's.

    The knockdowns against Snipes, Weaver, Shavers and the near-catastrophe against Witherspoon more than prove his heart. He was like the quintessential example of Championship Heart....but hey, Ali sure had the heart of a lion as well ;)
