Well, that’s the problem. Your ignorance.

You don’t know that it took very serious people to push on Universum to break the contract because the Universum were basically not giving GGG any serious fights because Sturm didn’t want GGG to proceed any further nor letting him go.

And yes Monroe would beat Chavez Jr. in the condition he was fighting Canelo.

I actually have a suspicion that GGG had an agreement for trilogy where he was asked not to push very hard on Canelo on first two fights and that the 10th round in second fight took Canelo’s soul as what beating he would get, especially without Vegas support... But that’s just a guess.

Realistically Canelo is ducking a rematch with GGG. Talking one thing that GGG should earn a chance, as if Canelo earned a right to fight GGG and as if GGG didn’t have the right for rematch which is usual for champions. Then GGG fights Derevyachenko and now Carmelo doesn’t want a fight with GGG. Even if there is something personal still you don’t act as Canelo. It’s basically blatant ducking. And again I think that 10th round had taken away Canelo soul against GGG.

Canelo wouldn’t jump on Kovalev in condition he was in his Prime. Moreover it’s a win win situation for Canelo, if he looses he that loss wouldn’t have any effect on his career except very hard knockout, but still would be recognised as a fighter with balls, if he wins, well that will take him on another level and a win against ageing and shot Kovalev is more realistic for Canelo than a win against GGG outside of Vegas.

Yet a loss to GGG would have a serious impact on Canelo basically supporting a huge majority view that Canelo can’t win GGG without support even past his prime. A win would stop partially stop those talks, a convincing win would stop majority of the talk, but Canelo doesn’t have confidence even for a normal win. That’s the problem.

    * scratches head * I don't believe I ever disparaged the belt. Rocky Fielding, the weight-drained belt holder, is another matter.

I think 22JM is saying that he bumped his elbow on something and that's why he's hysterical.

:duh:facepalm: Golovkin's getting paid a shithouse of money (the same amount) to fight a guy that's arguably inferior to GGG's first choice which is Canelo. Why would he NOT want to fight SD? Did you even think this through?:risas3:

I don't get the hate for this.

Canelo is one of the beta fighters in the world, Golovkin should be chasing him.

I'd understand Golovkin getting hate if he wasn't chasing the Canelo fight, but he's facing top opposition whilst calling out the best in the division.

It's literally the exact thing he should be doing.

The Canelistas are all butthurt about the way they hyped Canelo up for taking the Dervyanchenko fight "the guy GGG ducked" and then got an ostrich egg all over their faces when Canelo would rather get stripped of his belt than face SD. Worse, Golovkin is now fighting Sergey, the "guy Canelo ducked" That's why there's a sudden surge in hate.

Tbf Canelo is fighting Kovalev instead of SD which is a far tougher fight so he shouldn't get any hate for that either.

Both guys are doing exactly what they should.

Yeah Canelo fighting Kovalev is a good fight. No arguments.
