I just watched the Otto Wallin fight again and I'm sorry, its a wrap. If fury fans genuinley care about his health and wellbeing, im being serious, message Paris Fury and tell her she has to talk him out of the wilder rematch. You cant make excuses that fury wasnt "up for it" he always fights bums like Wallin, it wasnt anything new for Fury. Forget the cut, no movement, no flicky jab like he normally does. LIFE AND DEATH with a fighter barely in the top 50. Planted feet, winging shots, toe to toe warfare with a bum. And he couldnt even hurt him. Im sorry, its a wrap, hes done, finito. Hes got nothing for Wilder, thats why hes running. When was the last time a guy who supposedly "schooled" his opponent needed tune ups for an immediate rematch? Never happened. Shot dot com, thats Fury. He is done.
He was in bad shape against Wallin, but we should stop acting like fighters are sh*t because they had one bad performance (same with AJ). Mentally, Fury is the strongest out there and he'll not be reluctant at all to fight Wilder again. Against Wallin, I believe as Fury's father said that Fury lost too much energy in training and his weight wasn't the one his boxing style suits the best for. How much he'll be struggling with his cut in future fights is yet to be seen, but it's not like everyone just hits Fury on the head whenever they feel like. In good shape, he's hard to hit, good body and headmovement. Maybe Wallin was too good of a southpaw for Fury and he couldn't find the right way to confront him? But in the end Fury won convincingly and that's quality too, when you're in bad shape but you make it to the win. Looking forward to see Fury fighting again, same with Wallin.
Won convincingly? Won convincingly. Don't know what fight you were watching. That fight had draw written all over it. Tyson looked like a stiff dosser who was walking down the qu33r street in pikey land in rd12 from wallin FFS.
If the only fight I saw Fury fight was his latest, then I would believe he would have little chance against Wilder. What I do believe is that he had a bad night against a highly motivated and conditioned good fighter with a great game plan. It happens in boxing. Saying that Fury is shot seems premature to me.
He's not shot. He's doing what Tyson Fury does, namely slacking off against no-name brand opponents eating pies and Guinness and dreaming about being the GOAT. Then, when he's got to fight a legit threat like Wlad or Wilder, he panics because of the tractor tyre around his waist and works like a demon to get back into shape. It's a real pity he's like this mentally, because if he were more consistent he'd be tremendous. Instead he's cutting his career short through all the weight fluctuations and getting older to boot. One day his body isn't going to react as well because he's over the hill and some no-name brand bum will starch him. Bookmark this post.
He wasn't in bad shape at all. He was the lowest weight he'd been since Klitschko. Fury just had an off-day..but..there is one massive problem and that is Ben Davison. He's a good fitness coach, but nothing more than that. Tactically he is completely useless and Fury has to rely on his experience alone to win fights. I have no doubt that with a proper trainer, Fury has an extra 5% in him and that would make him much more favourable against both Wilder and AJ.
Well, maybe convincingly is exagerated, but I had Fury as the clear winner of the fight. Wallin won more rounds than expected and that cut and 12 rounds with a Fury gave him extra credit, but except for that Fury was never really in danger, maybe the left hook in round 12 was a good shot that wabbled Fury, but he did it...
Yeah Fury struggles to get up for lower tier opponents. his fight before Klitschko against Christian Hammer was quite lackluster... I remember critics saying "NO WAY THIS GUY BEATS KLITSCHKO! He looked horrible against Hammer." Then he gets down to 243, and beats Klitschko in the fight of his life. Then he goes to fight Pianeta, a bum, and he goes all 12 rounds with him... and people are like "OMG OMG OMG How is he gonna fight Wilder, he went 12 rounds with a bum!!" and low and behold he has the fight of his life against Wilder.... I hope you see a pattern here. Wilder isn't the bogeyman everyone thinks he is.
thats the complete opposite to what actually happened. Davidson confirmed that Fury won’t keep out of the gym and the allegation is he over trained. Most likely due to the fact that his days off consist of taking coke and getting pissed
A very good win no doubt, fight of his life doesn't seem to fit the fight imo, it weren't great to watch, very low volume of shots etc
