Why didn't GGG think of fighting Kovalev, or something similar?

But you are perfectly happy with Clenelo winning & defending the WBC belt at 154 pounds & calling himself champ, but when mandated to meet GGG at 160he cowardly handed back the belt. he knew GGG would kick his Ginger ass

    but he didnt, he lost.

cj you cant have it both ways - either you claim Canelo "knew GGG would kick his az"

    OR

you can claim "Canelo knew his judges would give him the win"

but claiming BOTH makes 3G look bad, and I as a 3G fan will not allow you to utter bad sportmanship in his name.

3G is a good sportsman and happily says "no heehee, Canelo beats me" and we should follow his example of bon homie ....

and wait till he smashes ihm next time!!!! Yehcool.

No , I was a Canelo hater back then and never recognized either Cotto or Canelo as real MW champs. . Unlike you , I can change my mind on fighters and give them credit when its due.

When & if Canelo deserves credit I'll willingly give it but he's done nothing to deserve it as yet

GGG has never dared to be great that's why. He's a diva who wants hand outs with Canelo and fight no hopers for big money that's what he's about.

Why do these questions persist regarding GGG? He is at his natural weight and has no desire to fight outside of that weight, especially given his age. He has nothing to prove to anyone. He is comfortable in his own skin.

Stop with this lie. GGG hid in the bathroom anytime Ward's name was mentioned. He knew Ward would have schooled his ass.

Yep, the same Ginger-ballgobblers who celebrated his success at the 154 “Caneloweight” are the ones giving GGG crap for not agreeing to all of Ward’s weight demands with no negotiations. Priceless!

In fairness, you can make a better case for making someone agree to Ginger’s terms because he brings mucho pesos to the party. Ward was coming off a long layoff and had little commercial appeal before he took his unpaid vacation. Canelo is probably the biggest money draw in boxing at the moment and with that $ comes negotiating power. You may not like it but it’s a fact of life.

Canelo is the product of a fight crazed culture. Without the Mexican fan Canelo would be just another good fighter with a few losses on his record. Instead he is a hyped marketing machine.

You mean the same Ward who jumped into the Super 6 who was the big underdog to take on the very best of the division that Ward? There's only one fighter here with a track record of daring to be great and that's without a doubt Ward. Ward went up to 175 to fight Kovalev who was seen as a killer here. GGG spent the majority of his career in a dead division feasting on bums cans and no hopers he had no real interest in fighting Ward or anyone with a pulse for that matter his best win is Jacobs. He only showed interest when Ward had moved up to 175 because he knew he wouldn't be coming back to 168 again, when Ward called his ass out years earlier GGG threw out a catchweight and hid in the bathroom. This is easy to see. GGG will be remembered as a guy who when it was finally time to step up, didn't deliver and ducked guys like Ward. Ward will go down as the much better fighter.

And yet ... yet Ward declined that fight twice when it was offered. I guess he wasn't as confident as you.
