According to facebook they fight on a white collar show in December. Smith waiting for his pro licence back after his troubles out the ring.

Doubt it. Not all white collar fights I've been to have had head guards.

I guess was either just never that good, never kicked on or didn't dedicate himself

He got sent down. Been training a while but his massively overweight. His using this as a warm up to hopefully get his license back early next year. Been some heated words between the two on social media

Even when he had his license though mate I expected him to be able to get beyond the likes of Jupp

Yeah he was ranked 4th wbo at one stage but his best win at that stage was for english title. Jupp was excellent that night. Will b interesting to see what weight he comes back at as his a long way of being a super feather

He bought into his own hype and was brought swiftly down to earth by Jupp. Then he had troubles out of the ring, got fat, and now he seems to have got his act together somewhat. Definitely has talent and at 26 still has time to do something if he applies himself.

It's too bad it took going to prison, losing his kids and getting fat for him to start showing some humility.

Mitchell Smith had all the talent in the world. If he can get down to featherweight and dedicates himself, I see no reason why he cannot become a British champion in the future.

    This.
He bought into his own hype.
Don't get me wrong he wasn't too bad but he got far more credit than he deserved. He wasn't a special talent or anything and it was those hooks he threw that got everyone talking about him. He was always there to be frustrated and outboxed and that is what happened when He fought jupp. He's made a couple of comebacks since jupp but never got himself going really.
I'm afraid he's had his day, he just hasn't got the minerals to be a dedicated fighter, it's hard to do and there's no real shame in that. He had a spoilt kids attitude to the game and I just don't think he'll grow out of that in time to resurrect a real career for himself.
    Good Luck to him tho
