After recent events - Kuzmin/Teslenko/Gorman lost recently, and Ajagba looked poor against a kebab worker. And Majidov made his pro debut... Who would you say is the leading Heavyweight prospect? I think Hunter is a contender and no longer a prospect, and Usyk and Gassiev will be strong threats but they haven't made their HW debuts yet so I haven't included them.
Being unbeaten fighting bums means nothing. And merely just being an 'Olympian' just qualifying for the Olympics and losing in the first round - means very little too. Clayton Laurent Jr and Eric Pfeifer were super heavy Olympians from that year too who are pros now for example and no one talks about them because they aren't good enough.
Ajagba should be added he's better than most guys here. #1 Hrgovic Makhmudov, Dychko, Ajagba, Jalolov and Sirenko in no particular order.
Hrgovic isn't a prospect hes a high ranker right now with great am experience and should have at least got Silver in the Olympics , he'll fight whoever has the belts and it'll be one of them . I would replace Ruiz with Usyk who will box him out in that style clash.
Those guys aren't going anywhere soon . Hrgovic sees a title shot in 2021 and if im correct it will be AJ. Wilder or Fury gets the WBC strap in 2020 and still no undisputed ,unless Ortiz shakes up Wilder ( fingers crossed ) . If im not right and somehow it goes left...you will see a crazy fight still with Usyk vs Hrgovic should Ruiz maintain the belts . Either one of those guys defeats him. Everybody picking Hrgovic is a safe bet,go to other posts on this andf you would see Ajagba dominating the polls , and that's bc ppl go with popularity all the time. I know Sirenko is the most dangerous guy on that list ,I know bc most aren't picking him. lol
He's the best heavyweight prospect fighting out of Oklahoma. Jokes aside, I hope he gets a roll of the dice. Imagine if he clipped Wilder.
