Before the Fury fight Wlad signed a 5 fight deal with RTL, then he fought Fury and Joshua. So he was thinking of having at least 5 fights before retiring at that point, which would suggest that there is a chance that he would come back.

As you said fight a warm up, rematch Fury and then try to equal or surpass Joe Louis' record of most title fight wins.

Wlad’s time on top was simply up. Wlad’s ring ability had been declining for years, so it was only a matter of time.

Fury has proven to be too unreliable. Wlad knows he would risk getting into shape for 6 months just for Fury to throw some mental fit and cancel the fight. Waste of time.

Fury would outbox every version of Wlad. Wlads changes are catching Fury with something big wich is unlikely because he is so conservative with his punching.

'I lost because I didn't let my hands go.'
'Why didn't you let your hands go, then?'
    'Because I just didn't.'
    'So you chose to lose?'
    'Yes, I chose to lose.'

There you have it. Fury didn't do anything, Wlad just decided not to let his hands go and KO Fury. It was an off night where he chose not to KO his opponent in a boxing match. These things happen in big championship fights all the time.

Btw, Banks was telling Wlad he was losing from at least the midway point. But Banks didn't understand that Wlad had decided to not let his hands go and just lose instead.

And fury is mr stable right???

Wlad even says himself no outside force can affect his mentality when in camp. Let it go. Wlads time was up.

His got every right to feel pissed about not getting a rematch. Fury pulled out twice and left Wlad waiting on the bench for nearly 18 months.

Fury would never give him a rematch even if he came back now. Fury only threw....what, about 7 or 8 more punches than Haye did against Wlad. It was a terrible heavy weight fight. If they fought now....and there is always only the now...all Wlad would have to do is let his hands go and knock this fool into gypsy valhalla. But...Fury would never give him the fight. Fury is too much of a nut case.

Joshua only threw 11 more punches than fury against wlad.

Problem is fury has no power.

Fury cried off about Haye pulling out on him with legit injuries that had he not been a fame hungry idiot desperate for cash would of ended his career so I can understand why Wlad was so pissed about Fury managing to duck the rematch he willingly signed up for after edging a very close fight in which he could of no doubt made improvements on.

Yes, Fury has no power. Wlad has power. He would win a rematch now, he would have won it then. Both are hypotheticals that will never happen. One, Wlad will probably not come back. two, even if he did there is no reason to think Fury would give him a rematch.
