Kovalev needs to K.O. Canelo to win the fight since nobody can beat the latter by decisions.

To win Kovalev will have to beat Canelo and his judges. Can he do it?

I'm going to say no, and Canelo wins yet another controversial decision where most observers thought he lost. What else is new?

Kovalev is a bit of a spent force. He can still box, but he's older ( age 36 ) and might have an understanding that Canelo can be on PED's, will have the judges giving him rounds he doesn't deserve, and have the crowd on his side, but hey its a nice pay day for me so I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

One thing to watch. Canelo is going to be a little heavy, and tends to gas a little, which could be Kovalev's chance to land something serious.

Kovalev wins by way of K.O. Canelo wll test the real power at 175 that he has never tested anywhere else before. Even if Canelo has a granite chin, most of the fighters he has faced were 154 - 160 pounders.

Ward already exposed that Kovalev can’t take body shots and that’s what Alvarez will exploit. If Alvarez handles Kovalev’s pressure early he will eventually slow him down with the body shots. I expect a stoppage in the 9th for Alvarez or a UD.

Ward used blatant fouls to beat Kovalev. He was measuring them. No man can take a hammering in the testes like ward was dishing out
Kovs got to stop Canelo to win the fight I feel. He is capable of winning a decision but he wont get the win
Great video as usual Rummy You tell it how it is

Good point, Canelo might gas early because he'll be heavier.

Do you think Kovalev could knock Canelo down for the first time in his career?

    Pretty sure he can.
Kovalev has knocked down (and/or out) multiple fighters for the first time in their career.
That said, he even knocked Andre Ward down for the first time in his career, despite him being knocked down before...

It’s boxing ....The only unregulated sport that still makes cash so anything can happen that night.

If anyone has a chance of cracking Big Red and putting him down or getting a standing 8 count on him it’s the Krusher at 175

Kovalev was on ***** street from a straight right hand to the jaw. Before that he was turning his back and asking the ref for help because of clean body shots. One or two accidental low blows doesn't change any of that.

One or Two low blows???? ROFLMAO Ward made Golota look like a choirboy with that disgusting performance & Referee Weekes should have been disciplined too but he'd been sent to S Africa to hold a referee's training course according to the State Commission ROFLMAO right man for the job huh

I like Kovalev for this one. He has a big advantage in height and reach and is very good at keeping opponents at the end of his straight punches. Canelo's got great head movement and counters to the body, but I just think he will find it hard to get inside often enough.

    Kovalev on points.
