Lomancheco is a untested and unproven fighter. Only fan boys jump up and down for the untested and unproven. Dempsey or Marciano will always be the far more skilled infighter.

Tyson Fury is a zit upon the face of hwt boxing. A lumbering waste whose “skills” I laugh at. When he fought Wlad all I did for 12 rounds is laugh and shake my head in disgust. THIS is what 30 years of watered down hwt boxing had led to.

well it was a vital & fundamental part of Boxing excellence capitalised in skills training, certainly from the 30s onward...

and was understood by Top Fighters to be a very necessary & lethal part of their arsenal. I'd say there were hundreds of fighters who executed it perfectly, but the film that we clearly refer too, well that's got to be.

    JJW and SRR.

Is this to be based solely on power?

Teddy Atlas considers him the most talented of todays heavyweights, you can find it on You Tube.
Now,should we give your opinion , more credence than Teddy's?

It's quite sad that you think someone who has fought in world title fights since his debut (and winning more of them than Dempsey did I might add) whilst moving up in weights, beating the best in 3 different weight divisions is untested.
He is very proven. You can't get to pound for pound top 3 in the sport by doing that.
    1. Infighting isn't everything.
    2. If you think Dempsey and Marciano use angles and open people up better than Loma your Barmey.
    I'm sure he's absolutely guttered.
But he's number 1 right now of a very competitive era.
Why? He put on an excellent display of skill. Feints, feet, Angles and outsmarted one of the smartest heavyweights of all time.
    Something Dempsey couldn't dream off.
    Lmao. Wlad's era > Dempsey's .
    Lewis's era > Dempsey's.

Winning a title when there are 4-5 titles is a joke. Just like being called a contender when there are 40 top ten contenders. Incomparable to earlier eras. Today it’s easy to be a champion. Easy to be a contender.

No fighter used angles like Dempsey. Only fighter close to him was Duran. Roberto was a light weight version of Dempsey in fact.

You jumping up and down regarding a lumbering joke like Fury is what I would expect from a fan boy.

Loma has 16 pro fights. He is untested and unproven. Only in today’s world of easy pathways to a “championship” would something such as this occur.

SRR - the right hook to the body had Jake covering his side instead of his head late in their title fight. And the left hook that came in 3s and 4s and even changed target mid-punch is one of the best ever. I'll go with the "boring" answer and nominate him

Didn't Jack McAuliffe win the title in just 13 bouts?
