And in what World is 325 thousand buys at 90 dollars a pop abysmal?
Granted its not UK numbers but those go at a score each

90 dollars a pop is irrelevant thats economics too many factors to get into

325k buys is what matters as that is a strong indication as to the level of interest

    Whyte vs Rivas did 289k

    Rivas...RIVAS!!!!

Let alone Whyte’s other fights and AJ for e.g.

Wilder been a champ for many years over in the USA

He turned down good money for the AJ rematch - even if he says it wasn't enough. He didn't want the heat again and was targeting another belt, but that's chancy and so it proved. Fury did his own thing and left Wilder with no opponent and Brezeale (I think) was mandatory, so got it. Whyte got himself to mandatory eventually but is now missing and no one knows what is going on. I do like him but he is as guilty of playing games as any of them.

    Of course its relevant
If the Whyte vs Rivas PPV was 90 pound do you think it would have hit those numbers
The reason UK PPVs do decent is the pricing
Imagine what US ones could do at that price

You have just highlighted my point, how is one pound sterling like one dollar in america?its not just exchange rates, its what a bottle of water cost to the general public there... what the average salary is there... trends in consumer spending .. how much is an american willing to spend on a sporting event compared to a china. Man... disposable income..

I can tell you in america they earn more than brits for the same roles and they spend less money on the same things... houses are cheaper across the board and bigger

It still doesnt answer how much more they could make at 20 a pop does it?
Im sure that kind of research is relevant but bottom line is Wilder Fury done ok where as you claim it was abysmal

    It really wasn't

Fury is many flaws, especially a lack of power, but has amazing movement for his size. he is a unique heavyweight.

i think he for all of his flaws he has a much betyer boxing IQ than the the more athletic looking powerful wilder and AJ.
Fury has shown ability to adapt in different situations ( albeit against limited opposition) but has shown that versatility nonetheless, responding to the cunningham knock down, findig out southpaw Wallin werent so bad plus the cut, he adapted from his move move jab jab to taling advatnage of his sheer size

Wilder and Joshua dont have that in their locker...but they are less likely to need to bevause they have the power , especially Wilder

Ruiz is also above wilder and joshua in terms of raw boxing iq as well

I suspect Fury may be done. His latest video shows him being circumspect and saying he has not felt better. It is almost like he is trying to persuade himself as well as us that he is ok.

I do not believe it. 12 months, Schwartz and Wallin. Gamesmanship and hanging on.

People obsessed with numbers but have no tactical or technical boxing knowledge. I laugh.

Agreed. He was off his tits in that jacuzzi vid a few days before the fight, no question about it.

I know for a fact that the Yanks pay a lot less than us for clothes and food.

As an aside, while in Australia I learned they get overtime rates for everything and petrol is half the price. They also get paid weekly which is a big factor in disposable income spends. And that's not going near their "union" jobs which are higher paid again, a bit like the way workers in big car plants get paid 3 x more for doing the same job as a non-unionised factory.

I worked there for year and couldn't believe how much I had leftover every week compared to the UK. This was while doing the same job and with the same standard of living including housing. In fact my house out there was better and I still had more disposable income.

We get fukin shafted in this country.

I thought so too. And looking through the comments I couldn’t believe no one picked up on it.

I still reckon he behaves for a big name though.

We get shafted beyond shafted. We are financially raped in this country. The amount of taxes we pay when you add it all up is insane especially if you are a high earner (and there are many) the taxes you pay could pay someones salary and you wonder where the eff is it all going

Then the expensive price of certain foods and housing bubble.... things need to change

Dare I say it, the only thing we got going well is the NHS,. Not that it is going welll... but having it is better than nothing which america dont have. If you have a medical emergency over there you are pretty much ****ed lol

Can't quite make my mind up on him, his performances are so in consistent.

Some times he looks like the modern day Ali and others he looks average.
