Everybody seems to hyping Danny up based on his size and power just like a young Bruno was hyped by the British media so how do both careers compared to each other after 13 fights? Dubois has a 92% KO ratio is that why fans are so excited about him?

Joyce would hurt him. And I'm not big on Joyce either.

Well..people now have something to hold onto when it comes to Dubois, and that's that the Gorman win was quite impressive. That win showed for the first time that Dubois is at least European level material and has potential.

Whether he's world level is still up in the air, and we need to see more of him fighting decent fighters like Gorman.

I like Dubois has a nice array of punches can put em together very well sure is up there with Bruno .
How easy Dubois stopped Ebenezer Tetteh doesn't really show how good Dubois is , Dubois is good tho has a nice hard hit I'd say .
Bound to achieve more than Bruno did . After Fury's fight wit OTTO , I reckon Dubois would probably beat Fury right now if they had a Fight .
Been following Dubois same as when I used ta follow David Haye .

Of course this guy was picked with the popular "good looking record, zero substance" thing in mind.
Next up; Mark De Mori, Tom Schwarz, Raphael Tronce, Arnold Gjergjaj, Alexander Frank, Chris Norrad, Mladen Miljas or Facundo Simal.

But, Bruno was still in his bumbashing stage at the time, while DD already beat Johnson and Gorman.

Its a bit early to say he is "bound" to achieve more than Bruno did. Its not like Frank came out of his long career without any accolades. We need to see how he does in a longer fight against tougher opposition to assume he would surpass Bruno. Big fan of Dubois though, like him a lot more than Joshua when he was coming up.

Indeed, as Bruno was a WBC beltholder who has given 2 ATG heavyweights quite a scare before they put him away.
DD up till now has beaten Gorman.

Dubois has reached the mark of a least good European level fighter. I don't think he has a good enough jab or defense to beat the best, at least for now which means he's going to need to be durable, which isn't always easy at heavyweight when you hail from the isle of glass jaw.

On the other hand, he's got a puncher's chance. I took a look at his tale of the tape. While 78" reach is about average these days, it's not quite on the level of Fury, Wilder or other up and coming heavyweights with ability.

My best guess is Burno will have achieved when Dubois retries.

Dubois is a blend of George Foreman and the personality of a tin of beans.

DDD has the better wins but he had a more extensive amateur career than Bruno - 75 fights to Bruno's 21.

I'm trying to think who is the equivalent of James Smith on today's scene and it's probably Joe Joyce. If Dubois is better than Bruno he must beat Joyce, if he isn't he loses just like Bruno did.

    Bruno “hyped”????

He fought Gerry Coetzee, Joe Bugner and a host of credible opponents before running into Tim Witherspoon who was one of the Best Heavyweights of the 1980s. That said Frank had that fight won until Witherspoon, a former World champion, caught him very late in the fight.

The same can be said of the James Smith (future World Champion) fight.

Bruno outboxed Lennox Lewis (ATG) for 7 rounds before Lewis’s extra class got him out of a hole.

Then there’s Mike Tyson who’d looked invulnerable as he scythed his way through all the US heavyweights, each of which who had failed to miserably to trouble Tyson. Bruno, in Tyson’s own words, “taught me (Tyson) a new dance”.

Bruno only lost to Former, reigning or future World Heavyweight Champions and was World Champion himself!
He was never knocked down and finished every fight on his feet despite many who believe he had a glass jaw!

His KO % was up there with the best and his jab was heavier than most heavyweights hooks or crosses. Those who didn’t respect him before their fight certainly respected him after 3 minutes of round 1, you could visibly see some opponents gulp and shrink after being on the end of a Bruno jab let alone his right cross.

So please, less of this “Hyped” ballacks !

Why do people do this weird 'same fights' comparison?

Fighters are totally contextual. Some might win titles early, but quickly burn out, some may need to progress, but become very dominant and have Longevity. Both can lead to strong and weak resumes.

This is why I will only fully judge a fighters career retrospectively.

Bruno was knocked down and received a count in the first round against Tyson.
