On pure talent / freshness basis I always put Crawford on top but opposition makes the argument difficult. Damaged goods Brook and barely beating Porter (plus Garcia) is still better than Horny and Benavidez (plus Khan), but Pac is an interesting addition since shot Mattysse and B- game (but elite) Thurman are solid wins and he might just edge the others out as far as pure rankings go. Still, I always picked Crawford over any WW in an actual fight let it be Spencer, PacMan, Poter, Ugas or whatever, and I'm not yet convinced to think otherwise.

He most certainly is not. First, we heard him say he doesn’t need Crawford, that he could just take the easier route and fight Porter. Another time he was asked about it, he said Crawford was on the wrong end of the street or something like that and gave no indication of wanting the fight. A couple of days before the Porter fight, he said he wanted Pacquaio and that the Crawford fight “might” happen by late 2020 or in 2021. Finally, after the Porter fight, he called out Pacquaio, Garcia even mentioned Jullian Williams and said he doesn’t need Crawford. I couldn’t care less about the politics, any fight can be made if both sides want it bad enough. Crawford keeps calling out Spence, Spence keeps making excuses. He simply wants no part of it. He’d move to 154 before entertaining the idea of facing Bud.
