Anyone noticed that last night Dirrell's cut barely bled, and it was just as bad as Fury's? However, Dirrell didn't lose a liter of blood like Fury, his shorts weren't soaked in blood.... Everyone's praising Fury's cutman, but it appears that he didn't add any of the clotting agent Avitine or Adrenaline?? He just put gobs of vaseline on top of it, which is wrong to do, according to Teddy Atlas. So was Fury's cutman as good as everyone says he is? or did Tyson just get lucky with the Doctor/Top Rank ? not taking anything away from Fury's victory, but man, Dirrell's cut was just as nasty, and it didn't bleed.
Not too surprising, people bleed differently due to variety of reasons such as blood pressure, blood consistency, temperature of the body etc. Cut man may or may not have contributed. Haven’t seen the fight yet, was Dirrels cut really as bad as Fury’s? Wallin even rubbed his thumb in it to make it worse.
Just to be real here, if Wallin would have had Fury's cut, the fight would have been stopped and it would have been a TKO. What I thought was funny though is that the PBC's "highlights" on youtube was acting like Dirrell was just unlucky and couldn't continue due to the cut alone. While he got totally lit up by Benavidez and Dirrell's corner jumped in to save him from more punishment at the end, while the referee was jumping in too. Main difference, Fury’s cutman risked his eye sight by putting vaseline inside the cut stopping the bleeding for the most part but risking a great deal while Dirrel’s cutman did the sensible thing and cleaned the blood out, round after round, avoiding smearing any vaseline on the cut
Pbc literally had the worst highlights lol. Whoever got paid to do that is a scam artist or was probably given a 10 minute Deadline to complete the highlights or zero pay. Seriously though, whoever their editor is was maybe Grand fathered in???
