5 most hyped / overrated fighters on my list

1) Tyson Fury
Defeated old, lethargic Wlad and still milks this win. Tested positive for multiple banned substances.
Was close to being stopped in 2 of the last 3 fights, even against #46 ranked Otto Wallin(the guy, who would get brutally KOed against anybody in top 20).
However, he has an army of fans that claims that Fury is one of the greatest of all time.
2) Deontay Wilder.
A very exciting fighter, but obviously lacks boxing ability.
3) Canelo Alvarez
Decent, but won most top fights with help of DLH and steroids.

I agree that Canelo (could conceivably have 5 losses, all within the latter half of his career) and Golovkin (side stepping of certain stylistic competitors) both are. No need to rehash why any further.

As for the other 3:
Tank, how can he be overrated? A lot of people don't like him and I know of no one who thinks he's number one in his division yet. Many people don't even rate him.

Usyk, completely cleaned out his division, undisputed. it's not a stretch to believe that there is no single person under 200 lbs that can beat him. Also, one of his victims is currently having success in the division above.

Spence: Undefeated unified champion, wins over 2 of the top 5 in his division, a win over a 4 division titlist (albeit a smaller man). 5-0 against current or former world champions. His resume is becoming very defined and sollid.

I can name quite a few others that are more overrated than these 3.

Depends where you look. On this board?

1. GGG obviously.
2. Cruiserweight division (Breidis/Gassiev etc)
3. Loma (great fighter but people go way over the top regarding his ability)
4. Inoue (has looked great beating up B/C level opposition but no way is he near p4p top 3 until he takes some better scalps)
5. Usyk - people already trying to crown him p4p#1. Nobody was trying to rate Joshua even top ten p4p after he’d torn through MUCH better opposition than what Usyk has beat.

Like I say this is just according to this board which generally hypes Eastern Euro fighters much more than anyone else and downplays Americans/rest of the world. So please spare me any butthurt you may experience reading this post.

Yes this seems to be the majority viewpoint here, which is the point I was making. Maybe this board is mostly Europeans so the bias is more noticeable.
