Dennis Hogan needs a tune up Id say. Local journeyman Jeff Horn might be a good candidate.

Depends how he takes that loss . Looked like Canelo was having safe sparing avoiding being injured overrated Akkawy on the news saying how good Akkawy is , Akkawy's bout was a mismatch got beat up bad made Akkawy look useless Carelo team put Akkawy way up in boxin world that fight put Akkawy down the bottom . Bee very hard to get over that kind of loess da media coverage he was getting , bein around the big name's in boxin , that would of hurt hitting the ground like that ,
Hope someone lets me know maybe sandman or midnight know or find out something . Really like to know what's happened because IV been wondering

True Josey Wales still young can come back .
If Akkawy was only hurting for a day or week or two be back by now .
So been thinking his hurting very bad an the shame from it all .
Is to much . The heart can hurt bad . As a kid growing up U would never think it's possible someone can hurt your heart that way .

Mate I've been saying for years now on this board that Australia repeatedly send their fighters overseas to fight when they're not quiet ready , occasionally you get guys like Geale , Zafara etc who give good accounts of themselves but Australian fighters should go down the old route ie become Australian champ and make 4 or 5 defences honing their skills then step up to Commonwealth level and if they win that make a few defences before challenging for world title honours , you got some really good prospects down under but they seem in too much of a rush and get found out by more experienced blokes , Anyway your right hopefully it's only his pride that's been damaged and we see him again ( just not up here for a few years ) .

Yep tune up Hogan need's very important if he don't he will lose the fight an opportunity his timeing will not match his fitness . What i have heard going on at the gym he is at not good
That tells me he won't win U need quality sparing an as U said the warm up fight . Lov Hogan to win .
Hogan real fight with Jeff year.
Jeff goin nowhere an Hogan hasn't been there that long if he stays wit Rushton an Jeff be slipping .
Probably leave Rushton gym after his loss , I'm glad his other fight fell through was hard to big of a bite Rushton trying for . The fight Hogan has now he can win . Wonder how much the odds are for Hogan to lose that's where my money be .

Spot on there U are . But over here U can be Australian champ for 2 years an get no fights but some dickhead ringing asking U to requanish your title so that two other boxer's can fight for the Australian title man it's a joke over here happens a bit . When this champ I was talking to as I how U haven't had a fight for so long and when telling me the go I was wow what did u tell em then he reckon he said $ 40,000 I'll give the up belt up then what I asked he said never heard from em .
It's like they don't really believe in the boxer's here to frighten to keep matching with Aussie incase of a lose lossing that spot an value . Man football players here jump in da ring first time get payed more than the Pro boxer's here get all media coverage promoters here it's all about there pocket's . About 20 year's ago a promoter I was helping payed his 3 boys $1,000 each , $83,000 went in his pocket the venue he got for free .
Same year he had nobody couldn't get new Boxer's after that year never did or had a boxing pro am again to this day . Seen other,s start up with silly contacts that UK an USA would laught out .
Then fall end up with no fighter greedy very greedy U box for them thell give U 30 tickets to sell an that is your payment .
Some men stupid first 5 pro fights tickets was his pay then his last 5 fight tore his bicep off the bone Finnish . Bad bad here hard to get fights here .
Tim Tszyu is tho getting fights every few months just his name got promoter's pushing him up in boxin cause they know money will fall in there pocket's Tszyu name is knowing around the world .
I didn't think anybody would know why we have a hard time at world titles .

I guess it's just my ignorance of how it works down under and my way of taking the obvious route is where I'm going wrong mate, thanks again for the insight .

Wayne Bennett is 1 of the most overrated coaches of all time considering the talent he's had at his disposal, especially his 1st stint with Broncos which should have netted way more success then he was able to achieve with basically a full rep team.
I agree with a lot of what you've said in your last couple of posts including about some of the aussie guys like Horn etc getting some better sparring, but considering your description of Ruston wanting to much of the limelight I don't get how you can bring up a coach of another sport like Bennett who has been guilty of exactly the same thing since his time as coach of St George.
Despite having good enough talent at each team he's coached since his last title with St George almost 10 years ago,Bennett has been fairly mediocre in every job since then as well as been a major disruptive and selfish influence .

LOL Bennett is regarded as one of the greatest League coaches of all time. He may be past his best as a coach but How could you even compare him to a moron like Glen Rushton? Rushton is a nobody compared to Wayne Bennett. Bennett has won 7 premierships and Rushton has a black belt in Karate LOL

I read Horn is planning a comeback but Foxtel main event will only approve a fighter with a name so they can sell the fight, looks like my sources from a few months ago could be right and Daniel Geale will get the call up.

Why not fight the ghost of Dave Sands on Halloween whilst you're at it?

You proved again why you are 1 of the biggest tools and most clueless trolls on the site that clearly has difficulty with the most basic reading comprehension,i clearly said i dont rate Rushton as a trainer at all.
If you aren't going to read what what i have said properly ,don't bother replying with idiotic smart arse comments that have nothing to do with what i said.
Bennett has obviously had more success over a longer period also had more talent at his disposal then any coach in the history of the game and as much as any coach in any sport.
