Vitali would have been crushed. Outjabbed, then cornered and then knocked out.

Obviously great defensive boxers would bother George ... Johnson, Tunney, Ali.

Also a fighter like Louis that had superb boxing skill that would draw George into blistering combinations.

Fighting from a crouch is suicide vs prime Foreman so Frazier and Marciano would have huge problems. I could see Dempsey with his athleticism, speed and boxing ability doing much better.

    Prime Tyson
    Prime Louis
He may struggle with AJ and Wilder, although ultimately be successful.

I would say only only these guys beat prime Foreman:
    Ali 100%
    Liston 65%
    Holmes 60%

His greatest threats are a slick technical boxer, or a counter puncher with serious power.

These are the kinds of fighter who would typically over perform against him, and the kinds of fighter that you would steer him away from, if you had alternative choices.

Byrd definitely. George would have fits trying to get to Bryd.

I think whoever it is has to have a lot of heart because George just keeps coming. A straight puncher who throws a lot of leather and either has enough ability to stay in the fight by crowding george or by moving and keeping him at distance can do best against him.

In his second career I pick Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Razor Ruddock, Henry Akinwande from the guys who were around then. They were wrong for George. And I would have backed them to beat George.

In his first career Joe Bugner, Roy Williams, Jeff Merritt, Oscar Bonavena, Jerry Quarry And Larry Middleton would have been all wrong for him. But I don’t think any necessarily beat George. Larry Holmes certainly would have any time after 1976.

Ali is the obvious one. I'd also narrowly favor Liston. Louis and Lewis are close to pick'em i think.

Lennox Lewis picks him apart with the jab before stopping him, Holmes does similar.

Holyfield beats any version of George, same with Ali.

Liston, Tyson, Louis and Bowe are 50/50's.

Surely he would struggle most with Fury out of the current heavyweights?

    This.
Wilder doesn't throw enough to trouble Foreman and AJ walking to him with his chin and stamina is asking to be KOed

Yeah Foreman seriously ****s AJ up big time, Wilder was rocked by a left from Fury who is not considered a puncher at all. Foreman makes Wilder do the chicken dance, and AJ can't ask 'why am I here, what am I doing' as his carcass would be prone on the canvas
