So you think if a fighter is really struggling at the weight, he should risk his health rather than move up. What a complete lack of regard for a boxers health. You're no fan of the sport.
Damn. He blocked me on Instagram for commenting and asking why he wasn't giving the rematch as promised
If he was struggling so much with the weight why didnt he move up sooner? Sounds like he was trying to maximise his advantages. Almost like a "weight bully" which potentially puts other boxers health at risk
I would criticize him, but it is cruel and unusual punishment to force fugly little lesbians to fight actual men.
Martinez Aguilar should be the champ anyway. Edwards was getting his ass kicked. The late blow did not do the damage he claimed. The ref should have given him up to 5 minutes to recover, taken a point from Martinez Aguilar and continued the fight.
hahahaha I love this site, a bunch of fat f*cks that never threw a punch in their lives are criticizing Edwards for not taking the rematch. Clear to see he was going to be beaten that night. He was in trouble at the weight also. Of what benefit is it to rematch that guy again and kill himself boiling down the weight ? Hes going to move up now and get another world title shot. Get some longevity out his career and make a few extra pound than he would if he lost the rematch. I'm by no means an Edwards fan but professional boxing is a business first at the end of the day. A short time frame to make money and retire with health intact. Questioning a boxers heart or desire can only be done by few not by boxing fans or white collar experts
That's when looking at it isolated without proper context. If Edwards just had left it in the middle after the fight, pretty sure people would have been a lot more understanding. But almost everyone predicted this would happen after the fight, despite Edwards claiming he wanted that rematch, because after that it was clear that there weren't many roads to a positive result for him in that rematch.
First time hearing about him struggling to make the weight. But this isn't even the issue. The issue is how the first fight ended and Edwards saying that he will take the rematch. He got his ass kicked, got a lucky out and then talked a big game. Charlie has talked about the rematch on numerous occasions, and you wonder why people are questioning his heart.
