@ Super Flyweight who do you favor in this intriguing match up? You have 2 superb technicians with speed and power. Both can box like a wizard or slug when needed. Too Sharp, I think, had faster handspeed and was better coming forward while Román had the faster feet and boxed better on the outside.
Nice match up, but I think Too Sharp might be able to edge this IMO.

I'd give Too Sharp the edge as well, but very good matchup!

Roman was an excellent technician, but he didn't have the most study chin. I think Johnson had the pop to drop him, and score a decision win in a competitive fight.

Johnson. Literally due to physicality, despite both being technicians.

Are you talking about Johnson being the bigger man or being a better in-fighter than Roman? Physically they're both practically the same size I believe. But if they were to have fought on the inside I can see Too Sharp getting the better of it. Roman would have box on the outside against Johnson with his better footwork.

Oh it would be close. And I think Johnson was stronger and, as Xplosive said, had more pop. I think that'd be the difference here. I can't see Roman staying away for the whole 12 rounds.

I agree. Too Sharp was more flat footed but had the better jab and better offensive tools. I can see Johnson coming forward and constantly getting up close to Roman while winning the exchanges. People tend to forget that Too Sharp was an offensive machine and also a buzzsaw attacker, the guy really liked to mix it up and scrap.

Too Sharp was faster then Roman. And he threw alot of combinations.
This is a bad match up for Roman.

I changed my mind. I would take Roman here to outbox Johnson.

I may also favor Roman. Depends on the jab in this one. For both fighters. I don’t see Johnson as a bad matchup for him, though.
