I agree to an extent but I think Edwards thought it would be a disqualification and tried to take it.

I have heard that Edwards purses have doubled since becoming champion and of that was on the line for me. I probably would have done the same thing.

 

He's in a catch 22 here.

He can't do the weight anymore but if he moves up after what happened against the Mexican (where he got splattered), it looks a blatant duck.

 

If I was Hearn or Warren I would be trying to make Selby v Martinez rematch. Would be great to see in UK and doubt it would cost alot to put on.

 

If I was him I’d see how much the Mexicans are willing to pay for the rematch over there...if it’s decent he might as well get splattered for cash in Mexico and blame the travel or something...

 

He's stepped up to high level twice, Casimero destroyed him and Martinez was doing much the same. He won a title by beating a guy that Andrew Selby literally danced around once he'd built up a big enough points margin following the early knockdown. Don't get me wrong, Rosales is decent enough, he's just not top level. Edwards is a little mug, I can't handle listening to him, I like seeing him getting beaten up though.
