Just based on pure, one punch KO power how would you rank the fighters listed?

    Earnie Shavers
    George Foreman
    Deontay Wilder
    David Tua
    Mike Tyson
    Sonny Liston
    Lennox Lewis
    Wladimir Klitschko
    Joe Louis

Shavers probably top with Foreman just behind. WIlder and Wlad about the same level. I got Tua, Liston and Tyson about the same, though not particularly far in front of Louis. And then Lennox at the bottom.

Lol at Wilder being rated with the likes of Foreman, Klitschko or Lewis. His opposition is C minus. He never KOed anybody in top 10 except for gramps.
He couldn't even KO 140 pound Charlie Z and went 12 with Stevern in the first fight.

    Punching power in general:
    1. Wlad
    2. Lewis
    3. Foreman
    4. Vitali
    5. Liston

One punch power (more about speed and accuracy):
    1. Joe Louis
    2. Mike Tyson
    3. Frazier left hook
    4. Wilder
    5. Wlad

Shavers never knocked out a real contender

    9. Lewis

Joe Louis is the most devastating puncher we've seen in the past 100 years, the man should top every HW ATG punching list.

    Too many variables & intangibles..

I haven't watched enough of most of them to form a balanced opinion either. But I'd say that peak Tyson was as explosive & as powerful as any I've spent time watching anyway..

What does how good u are as a fighter have to do with ur chin? There are plenty great and good fighters that has a weak chin. There are journey men fighters that has great chins. So that's bad logic. U speak of Stevern going 12 rounds. Did he not KO him in the first round the second fight? Charlie Z was to busy running and laying on the floor covering up like a baby to get KO'ed lol. Wilder has 1 punch KO ability. He also has a higher KO rating than all of these HW. Wilder has KO'ed all of his opponent, or at least dropped them. Nobody has accomplished that in boxing.

Knocking out real contenders (although he did) doesn't have anything to do with raw punching power. Winning a fight and getting knockouts is much more than just having power. The best evidence we have to indicate who actually hit the hardest is the fighters themselves and the majority of top heavyweights (including 2 of the greatest ever) said that Shavers hit them harder than anyone else.
