All 15 rounders with Mills Lane refing.

    1919 Jess Williard
    1920 Billy Miske
    1920 Bill Brennan
    1921 George Carpentier
    1923 Tommy Gibbons
    1923 Luis Firpo
    1926 Gene Tunney

How does Spinks do against Dempsey's title reign?

    My selection s George are
    Spinks wrc5 Willard
    Spinks wko 5 miske
    Spinks wun 15 Brennan
    Spinks w rs c 6 carpentier
    Spinks wun 15 Gibbons
    Spinks wko 6 Firpo
At this point Spinks has had a three year lay off, he steps in the ring as a heavy favourite to beat Gene. But the lay off and Spinks age are against him and Tunney beats the Older man in 12 savage rounds.
Spinks is cut and bloodied has the ref waves it over.
    Spinks lrsc 12.

For me Spinks is the most underrated HW lineal HW champion, I think that he could get the better of a lot of very good to great HWs.

Out of this run I think he does very well, personally I think the match ups go like this.
I think that Spinks schools him, makes him miss and lands huge punches consistently. Each round becomes more and more brutal, until the 8th where Mills stops the fight.

    Spinks TKO8 Willard
Easy win for Spinks, too strong, too big and skilled, hits too hard. Spinks lands power shots at will and lands a KO shot in 4.

    Spinks KO4 Miske
Brennan had heart but doesn't have the skill to beat Spinks, I have a feeling that he may have moments, or just the one, but he'd never manage to put Spinks away. I reckon that he has the durability to go 15 with Spinks but it would be unbelievably one sided.

    Spinks UD15 Brennan
Different Class, big punch to a poor chin...

    Spinks KO1 Carpentier
Gibbons would apply high amounts of pressure but the Spinks from the Qawi fight would use that brilliant left of his to keep Gibbons at bay and slowly start to hurt him with each big shot, until Lane stops it.

    Spinks TKO11 Gibbons
Firpo does have the skills to trouble Spinks, I think that he would land alot of punches without taking much punishment. Firpo had a decent chin and big heart, I think he'd make the end.

    Spinks UD15 Firpo
The best fight here imo, I think that Tunney would trouble Spinks with his jab and body shots but Spinks eventually figures out how to outslick Tunney, he'd eventually start to land his own jabs and hooks constantly and would start to land his rights. I think by the 4/5th rounds Spinks is winning important exchanges whilst Tunney's dominating all of the jab changes, so the rounds are very up for debate.
    Spinks SD15

So who's to say that Dempsey is better than Spinks H2H?

I didn't do the lay off thing for Tunney, I meant the best version of Spinks for all.

Otherwise I agree with your picks,

Sorry George, thought you meant as in real time. A prime Spinks v Tunney at heavyweight, id have to ponder that.
