Decent debate topic - where does Eubank's win over Yildrim now stand? Yildrim went on a good run post Eubank, and ran Dirrell very close in a genuine world title fight. Surely puts Jr up there seeing as Dirrell struggled with him?

Running Dirrell close is fine but one of Yildrim's wins was over Llonga Mock how old is he about 50? (i've just checked Mock's record and it looks like he's still doing decent against fair competition)
That said I don't rate it as anything special a decent one - i was hoping we would see him in with some genuine world class fighters after De Gale. He's beaten the never wases and the has beens but after loosing to Groves it's almost like they are waiting to pick the perfect fight for him.

Ill give him his due i didn't give him a hope of beating an over the top Degale. And he did quiet easily. He needs another big fight now

I've said recently that the win over Yildrim is starting to look far more impressive now, it was a spectacularly brutal KO. The trouble is he got found out against Groves and has been taking it too easily since, I would have had no problem with fighting a lower level opponent, then Degale and then going up a level soon after but he's just not doing anything. Billy Joe Saunders has been more active in the last year, says it all.

This version of junior would walk through this version of Saunders in six rounds

I dunno what makes you believe that. Beating Yildrim and a half dead degale is not close to beating a prime, motivated Saunders. I think Saunders beats him more convincingly if they fight again soon.

Eubank is with Haymon, they fight twice a year max. Do not think it has anything to do with him wanting to be a celeb.

His old man used to fight every 7 weeks, for 7 years.

And his old man was 28 when he fought Collins. It seemed he had been around at top forever at that point

New WBA rankings have put him in as number 1 at middleweight. Is he possibly moving back down?

Underrated win. You just need to look back at the general forum threads at the time to see that most posters were predicting Yildir to be far too big and strong for Eubank. Very few posters predicted a Eubank KO, they all largely thought that his power would be awful at 168.

The manner in which he destroyed him was impressive. It’s one of my favourite KOs of recent years the way they were trading bombs, and the cocky state after. The whole thing was pretty epic from Eubank walking in with a British flag through a crowd of hostile Turks.

And don’t forget this classic moment too. Whole event was really enjoyable.
