Here we look at the mental Pole's bouts with Chris Byrd and Riddick Bowe. Both were very entertaining and high paced, he also gave a good account of himself in both despite the 7 years between them. Any ways... Standard Reminder Bowe vs Golota 2 (8:35) This content is protected Byrd vs Golota (7:30) This content is protected
Golota vs Bowe 2 1. Golota 10-9 2. Golota 19-17 (Golota 10[-1]-8) 3. Golota 28-27 (Bowe 10-9) 4. Bowe 37-35 (Bowe 10-7) 5. Even 45-45 (Golota 10-8) 6. Golota 55-54 (Golota 10-9) CLOSE 7. Golota 65-63 (Golota 10-9) 8. Golota 75-72 (Golota 10-9) 9. TODQ Classic. Quite possibly the strangest looking card I've ever done. I don't know if you can actually score a round 9-8 tho, Surely @PhillyPhan69 can inform me on that. Golota vs Byrd 1. Golota 10-9 2. Even 19-19 (Byrd 10-9) 3. Byrd 29-28 (Byrd 10-9) 4. Golota 105-104 (Golota 10-10) 12. Even 114-114 (Byrd 10-9) Same result as last time I just got there a different way. And now I can spell Golota right lol. Good fight tho, one of the more underrated HW scraps imo.
Been a while since I have watched it. Generally it is called the 10 pt “must” system for a reason. The winner “must” get 10 pts...with the exception of a penalty pt. Reduction (ie low blow, head butt etc.) and even then it is generally scored 10-1 rather than 9. Can you give me the specifics of the round? Dual KD’s penalty etc.
I could, but where's the fun in that! No I will, Golota scores a KD, then Headbutts Bowe (intentionally) and has a point removed. I wasn't sure if thats a 10-9 round or a 9-8 round based on it being called a "ten point must"
Based on what you said: 10-1 to 8. You can call it 9-8 but traditionally the pt. ,Although we commonly call it a 9-8...the pt is deducted from the total score rather than the round...but at that stage it is semantics we are talking about. I can’t find one for Bowe/Golata but if you click the link and look at rd. 10 you will see what I mean by 10-1 rather than 9 https://www.google.com/search?q=may...oECA4QAg&biw=320&bih=454#imgrc=OH2PZl6kv2ZX2M
Interesting, thanks. I'll change my card to formally include this, are you gonna do one? Or is asking for a HW bout to much?
Bowe vs Golota 2: Round 1: Golota 10-9. Bowe threw sloppily. Golota's jab is solid Round 2: 9-8 Golota (19-17 Golota). Good knockdown. Good slugging. Round 3: 10-9 Bowe (28-27 Golota) Good last 10 seconds. Golota is tough Round 4: 10-7 Bowe (35-37 Bowe) Holy **** Golota loves low blows Round 5: 10-7 Golota (45-44 Golota). Golota hits hard. Both are gassed. Round 6: 10-9 Golota (55-53 Golota). Round 7: 10-9 Golota (65-62 Golota). Golota doninated. Bowe is heavily gassed Round 8: 10-10 Even (75-72 Golota). Again, they're exhausted. Round 9: GOLOTA YOU IDIOT I'll watch Golota-Byrd later
Bowe's corner was close to stopping it. Riddick never had good defense, and it didntl help that he was shot for this this. A dangerous beating, Golota hit hard enough to hurt Bowe, but not quite hard enough to take him out. A great heavyweight fight marred by low blows. One wonder what if Golota did not DQ himself and won. What next?
