GGG at times reminded of Leonard vs Terry Norris, just not the same fighter.

We were watching this fight, man, without the goggles you had on. Seriously, you gotta take some time off Kirk's league for a while, and/or stop making pre-fight predictions.. :sisi1

And you reeeeeeeeeeeeeeally need not to be talking about bias here, tonight, with that scorecard. You gave Golovkin the third. Really that renders all discussion of the other eleven rounds moot. That right there says it all about why this will be a dark chapter for you, that the best you can hope for is that everyone just sort of forgets or glosses over. You gave Golovkin the third. :shakehead: Talk about juxtaposing your preconceived notions over reality and jamming them together like a square peg and round hole to fit.

Yeah, yeah - I was stanning Sergey hard in the lead-up and openly hoping he would acquit himself well, but I still thought (and said that I thought) he would lose, and lose almost every round at that. My objectivity and ability to check my emotions & expectations at the door isn't in question on here, ever. How many times has everyone seen me, reluctantly and sadly, score round after round against somebody I'm a huge fan of in a fight where they are getting their ass kicked? I've lost count. I don't, however, paint myself into a corner by making ironbound picks in prediction leagues, which I think marries people (not just you, pretty much everyone that participates falls prey to this kind of fallacious thinking) to certain outcomes and warps their perspective to align with them.

In rounds 3-7 and 9/10, SD was clearly landing the most accurate and effective stuff, particularly on the body. He also won the jab battle in a majority of rounds, which was unexpected. When he had success with the left hand, GGG did it with the hook and the chop - not so much the jab, which was supposed to be a key tool for him in this match-up.

I think you came in with a chip on your shoulder about everyone calling GGG shot lately, and really wanted to see him pitch a shutout versus a near-prime solid near-elite.. so that's what you "saw"..

Your card sucked tonight man. It was a tight fight. Debatable result but it was close.

To be fair to CST, majority of rounds besides like 3 clear Sergei rounds and 2 clear GGG rounds could have gone either way. As crazy as it sounds 10-2 Sergei is plausible if you really emphasize body punches and 9-3 GGG is possible if you like clean effective punching that have a snap.

114-113 for either guy is fine.
    Razor close fight with KD.

Surprised none of the 3 judges had it for SD.

Golovkin won only due to the knockdown, otherwise 6-6, basically same score i had against Jacobs too. Not very impressive. He cannot retire yet, needs more money.
