How close? Was the TV in your ass along with your head?

**** you all. I just went back and rewatched the third round, since I actually have DAZN and I can rewind. That was razor close and could have gone eitehr way. The shot that hurt GGG wasn't all that obvious, the one that truly did the damage was a few rounds later. But GGG landed countless jabs and a vicious three punch combo to the head of Sergey, which knocked Sergey off balance, that easily could have swayed it in his direction.

Oh, in the midst of all the scoring debate we have lost track of the fact that GGG's major accomplishments tonight were twofold:

    1. Another very good scalp to add to his coup belt, even if that long-sought after signature "big one" still eludes him (c'mere, little ginger...stop running and come back to your papi :D) and his third prime or near-prime elite or near-elite middleweight opponent battled with on even terms in as many years (and fourth fight of such description in 2017/18/19, starting with Jacobs, then Canelo I & II, and now Derevyanchenko).
    2. He finally reached his milestone fortieth professional victory. "Ho-hum", you say? Of the currently active p4p top 100, only a handful of men have 40 wins or more. They are: Canelo, Pacquiao, Wilder (gr, the one bum on the list, exception not disproving the rule :sisi1), Estrada, Wangek, GRS, Donaire, Moonsuree/Wanheng. That's all (Mikey G is one away, now sitting at 39 as Triple G was heading in tonight). Not even double-digits. He's among just nine world class boxers that have pushed their W columns into such high atmospheres, in this era where the best rarely make more than one or two annual appearances, nor do they frequently fight the best (almost all of GGG's opposition has been, if nothing else, ranked top 15, in close to a decade. I think off the top of my head only maybe Martirosyan wasn't?)

Yes. We just saw two Middleweights. One of them being shot to hell and still winning. Not a Light Heavyweight vs. a blown up Super Welterweight.

As a longtime GGG fan, I disagree.

And so did the pro-GGG crowd in MSG.

    They roundly booed the decision.

    As I said, I think GGG beat Canelo twice, 8 -4, 7-5

Tonight, I scored it 7 -5 for Sergy.... by a point when the KD is factored in.

I'll rewatch it. Many of the rounds were close. I definitely think a better case can be made for Sergy than for Canelo in either of his fights.

Ducking your head below waist level is illegal, let alone down between you knees and ankles and it's rather difficult for your opponent to hit you when you're down there digging for worms unless they're an orangutan which like I said was the point I was making in the first place lol

Interesting, but when its GGG landing pitty pat jambs and Canelo landing bombs you're more impressed with the pitty pats

It was a close fight, I have no problem with it going either way. No shame for either man & a hard fought scrap.

GGG was jobbed twice against that 155 pounding, Mexican-beef eating, ginger nut.

    Everybody knows that.

    How???
Knocked down, outlanded by an older (!!!) fighter (stats), lost last two important rounds rounds. Even SD trainer was saying before last rounds that he is loosing.
How the f#*ck did he win?

Each fight is its own dynamic, and at this level usually too nuanced to be reducible to such single sentence narratives.
