That’s the statement that I quoted. There is no statement on record that says “I have never required a TUE” or something similar. I know I’m nitpicking but as I said there’s a reason there is nothing on record to state that. So his team denied the use of TUE to a journalist but we have no actual quotes to state that. Look at the actual quote his team gave. Nothing about TUE and the same standard line that is parroted by all the athletes who have been exposed. It’s all in the details.

It’s a 6 month ban isn’t it, it’s gotta be. I appreciate it’s a different kind of PEDs use, but Alvarez got 6 months, Miller got 6 months, there’s other examples too of similar length bans. If you’re a big money maker for the promoters and TV then you’re protected. It’s so worth risking it now. Obviously, if you have little or no profile then you’ll serve a 2 year ban. Whyte will probably have another tick over fight in January. He will fight absolutely anyone fella’s, anyone, he’s scared of nobody...as long as they’re smaller in height and stature he’ll fight them!!
The giveaway for me is talking about him being on the Saudi undercard. No way would he want to be on AJs show again as an also ran. Have a fight there not sanctioned by BBBOC and job done. All forgot.
You saved me posting the exact same observation. It's interesting the spokesperson was happy to be quoted in regards to accusations of doping - and therefore the denial is on record - but the TUE aspect was covered by reported speech, not on record and deniable should the need arise in the future. And yet the headline focussed on the part of the story for which there is no quote.
