This is the only iteration of the DJ/SD/GGG/Canelo middleweight elite merry-go-round that hasn't manifested in the ring...

    Previous results, chronologically:

    1. 3/18/17. Gennady Golovkin UD12 Daniel Jacobs - SUPER close (and could've gone either way)
    2. 9/16/17. Gennady Golovkin D12 Saúl Álvarez - SUPER close (but clear IMO for GGG)
    3. 9/15/18. Saúl Álvarez MD12 Gennady Golovkin - again SUPER close (but GGG should've won)
    4. 10/27/18. Daniel Jacobs SD12 Sergey Derevyanchenko - SUPER close (I had it 114-113 Jacobs)
    5. 5/4/19. Saúl Álvarez UD12 Daniel Jacobs - SUPER close (I scored it a draw)
    6. 10/5/19. Gennady Golovkin UD12 Sergey Derevyanchenko - SUPER close (I had SD winning 114-113)

Make the fight in Eastern Europe with a strong mandatory drug testing provision.

If that were done I'd favor SD.

Make the fight in a Canelo friendly environment and I'd pick Canelo.

    Unfortunately its come to that.

I'd highly favor Canelo, he would counter SD to death. SD's style is better against a BJS or Andrade imo.

SD has never faced a body puncher like Canelo. (as big & strong, or as skilled at it)

Do we think a body shot KO either way might be likely?

    It is a hard pick!
SD can definitely win on points, but can he really win on points against Canelo in Las Vegas???

Yeah coming from somebody else I wouldn't question it, but @Pakkuman is like @MVC! , a majority of his posts are trolling. Boys that cried wolf...sometimes they're serious, but..

Canelo close UD in the same vein of SD fights with GGG and Jacobs.

Tbh I’d love to see how Canelo deals with a high tempo combination puncher like SD who is at his prime.

    Canelo can beat anyone.

    What he needs is:
    1- NSAC
    2- Adelaide Byrd
3- Another judge with a lastname like Martinez/Lopez/Gomez.
    4- A very large ring.
5- A good training camp that will allow him to run for 36 minutes.

A recipe for a guaranteed SD victory against any opponent. Usyk, Fury, The Rock, Khal Drogo.

I think Canelo has faced a great body puncher in Golovkin, he just never utilised it out of fear of being countered.

In saying that though, Golovkin seems to have forgotten how important going to the body is in his last 5 or so fights. It’s one of his most impressive weapons and he’s almost completely abandoned it.

This would be a good fight. Probably 50-50. Hard to tell if Chenko is as good as he looked because GGG is really slowing down. Chenko was able to hit him way more than prime GGG. Canelo will probably grow out of MW and form another Canelo-weight between 160-168, maybe 165 after the Kov fight. If both were enrolled in legit drug testing it would be a competitive fight. Chenko is small, can he bulk up to 165 or so?
